Yeah YG style in a nutshell is an acquired taste. They're not really celebrated for their choreo intricacy. They make amazing point dance moments tho which become legendary i.e ddu-du ddu-du, bang bang bang, really really, I don't care etc.

Yeah haha the more I got into kpop the more I appreciated and began enjoying the cuter songs more. I agree it was a disappointing comeback especially since they took so long to comeback you'd think they'd come back with a better song

Blackpink has dry dance moves, no offence but any other girl group you would react to would probs have better dance as a whole, Even the cute groups they have nice synchronised dances which makes it look great when they dance together

no I don't think psycho is her style of music. She likes hip-hop and r&b so bad-boy would be better. Itzy is good choreography but I know their music isn't her style

U need to look at their fancam performance of this song or older songs for a more in-depth look at their choreo. Tbh they haven't danced intensely since they first started in 2016.

YG always strategic with their choreo. Rather than trying to make it complicated or intricate they focus on a catchy point that fans can do. Also, they look at moves they can do while performing live and interacting with an audience

I think ‘wannabe’ by itzy has pretty good choreography, she might like that. And ‘bad boy’ or ‘psycho’ by red velvet might be more her style music wise.

Word? I really like the chorus lol but if it's similar to their other tracks, I understand how that can be frustrating. I would have to hear more from them to determine how I feel about their sound. Looking forward to seeing what else they have to offer!

i was actually kind of excited for this comeback as a non-fan bc i thought maybe it would be something new, but it sounds similar to their other tracks. My biggest dislike was probably the chorus, it just sounded wrong. But that’s more so their producers fault, who just keeps giving them the same repetitive tracks, and not the girls. But thanks for always keeping it real Dee! 💜

It sucks because Lisa the rapper of the group can daaance. She has full of energy and she naturally has an edge about her. Like her solo dance videos are good and even when she's on a solo stage she just kills it. But idk why the choreographer wants to limit them like that

It’s annoying cause more often than not, it’s the choreographer’s fault. Like, why tf are you putting in these whack ass moves that even the best dancers would look silly doing? That’s what I think at least, cause I KNOW these girls can dance.

So what ive noticed since getting into kpop, that girl groups don’t really go as hard as the men. Idk why. Maybe they feel like the girls are supposed to be “cutesy” but ion like det lmfaoo. Ive seen vids of blackpink fucking it up esp Lisa (the rapper) but overall with the music the choreo never stands out to me. Now like solo female artist be fucking it up. Maybe bc they are not linked to a group idk! 😂🤦🏾‍♂️

There was a group before them called 2ne1 that was on the same label and when 2ne1 disbanded blackpink filled that space. I like blackpink visually but I agree with you I am not a fan of the stage presence and dance moves. I think someone mentioned CL in other comments she was from 2ne1 and she was the rapper of that group. Hopefully someone suggests them because I feel they have a little bit more stage presence and energy. They are completly different groups but they are like the little mix and fith harmony of kpop in terms of being under the same record label etc. Sorry to the blinks I like them but I also feel they don't bring it enough with the dancing.
