2025-07-31 00:03:16 +0000 UTCYes, the girl, Sense, who’s a first class mage (with the very long hair) and the proctor of the second test was just expressing her opinion about how Genau, the guy proctoring the first test, created/planned the test. She didn’t like that the test had the “all members should be present” condition. It meant some might choose to kill other teams just to pass. It didn’t mean they are purposefully killing the test takers, it’s more like they end up killed due to the test’s level of difficulty. But like what Genau said, if you die that means you don’t have what it takes to be a first class mage. The level of caliber they possess is indirectly shown in the scene where they were talking - Stille birds kept hanging around them which means they are controlling their mana very very well. Stille birds are so sensitive to mana remember~ And thats why I think the Stille that Wirbel’s team saw didn’t fly away. It’s bec 2 out of the 3 ran out of mana already and could barely even walk.

It's not a mandatory after all. It's like the ultimate test to reap the best of the crop.
