2025-05-22 14:01:58 +0000 UTCthere are a lot of methaphor on the dialogue when it comes to characters in vinland saga. they didnt meant it literally. like the slave girl didnt exactly saying "run across the sea" . its a double meaningbehind it. but yeah, other commentor already explained it in more details. hope you guys enjoying vinland saga a lot more as the eps goes.

2025-05-22 04:46:34 +0000 UTCI think "run across the sea" is just a metaphor lol she knows she has no escape, but shes just saying "even if I did manage to find away across the sea where would I possibly go? Id just be a slave in a different country." Which Thorfinn then gives her the idea of Vinland being an uninhabited country that is currently peaceful (empty) and has room for growth. The dub says "If I ran as far as I could all the way to the very end of the sea, I wonder what would be on the other side" making it a bit easier to understand she didnt mean it literally :)
