Fun fact: The Mushrooms that were used are Amanita muscaria, which grows in many areas of Scandenvia is known for having hallucinogenic chemicals (muscimol and ibotenic acid) that leads to a feeling of weightlessness, visual and auditory hypersensitivity, space distortion, unawareness of time, and colored hallucinations, and it's documented that Viking warriors would use it during battle to numb the pain and to fight for longer periods of time in harsh Scandenvian environnement (cold sea water, thick Snowfields, Heavy rain and blizzards). Viking warriors craved dying in battle as they believed Odin will send his Valkyries granted them Vallhala and becoming Einherjar, the Mushroom made the pain of withstanding the wounds and dying easier. But the term ''berserker'' was used to categorize them as some fictional superhuman naked people wearing Wolf heads and pelts on pop culture media and fictional historical novels that would kill friends or foes, it doesn't describe them at all, they were aware and present on the battlefield just disoriented and sometime would kill one of their own.
