In the previous episodes, we can see that Kaya was completely unfazed by Gabi's attempt to kill her, yet she became extremely emotional upon learning about Sasha's death. This shows that sometimes, people care more about the lives of others than their own.

2025-03-21 23:29:39 +0000 UTCY’all might have already figured this out, but if you think back to the beginning of season 2, the Beast shows up with other regular titans and that sends the scouts that weren’t with Eren’s group (fighting Annie) southward to Connie and Sasha’s villages. Remember Hannes eventually reports back that there was no hole in Wall Rose. That means that all the titans we see, at least up until Reiner and Bert get exposed, are from Ragako village. And probably a few more isolated places. Zeke turned them so he had his own little private army inside Wall Rose. He was looking for his group of warriors. I think it’s pretty safe to assume the whole thing happened because Marley had no communication / idea what had happened to their little operation.
