Annie was the responsable to call pure titans into the wall when breached. The only strange things that ocourred is that the titan that eat erens mom gone by herself,it did not gone in because fo annie ability.

In the manga there is a pannel of Annie in titan form running towards the wall with Reiner and Bertholdt on her shoulders as she screams to call on the titans. There is also a pannel of Reiner climbing the wall during the attack to set human Annie and Bertoldt on top of it before he rams the gate of wall Maria. For some reason the chose not to show it in the anime. That's why you always read the manga before telling someone they are wrong :) 5. And yes they do know about people being shipped to Paradis. Even Falco and Colt's uncle in one of the patriots sent there with Grisha. They even mention it at some point saying that's why Colt joined the titan program.

Most fools that read the manga (me) were able to cought on to the subtleties that were shown, but it's hard to be 100% right about everything. So please don't mind the immature audience giving you a hard time on this. It's not even worth it. Keep brainstorming brochachos !

For the first attack there was only Bertholt and Reiner. the fact that the Titans are there when they destroy the wall is due to (SPOILER) Eren who guides them and Dina towards the city because it has to happen (something he reveals in the last episode when he talks with Armin) 5. No they don't know that they are transformed into Titans, they just know that they are deported and that they never come back (just like the Jews during the second world war you see)

She used her limited titan calling range to have all those titans go inside the walls when they broke the gate. 2. Annie was tailing Kenny because she was looking for the king and probably found a connection between the king and Kenny. She got pretty close, but Kenny caught on before she got to the Reiss family. She used the dad excuse to just get away and of course I don't think Kenny thought too much on it. 3. Pls remember Bertholt's reaction to Dina for a later episode. 4. Reiner wasn't in a hospital although he really needs help. This episode was really about Reiner's past and everything that has him at this point. The man is going through it. He has PTSD, guilt,depression, etc. I love how Falco and the other kids give him a reason to fight. 5. Don't think many people picked up on it, but Reiners's dad assumes his mom sent him to see him for revenge so I don't believe Reiner was conceived with consent. 6. They definitely all know about Eldians going to paradise to be turned Into titans because that's a way Marley threatens Eldians. Remember how Grisha's parents were scared to be sent to paradise? All Eldians are controlled by Marley because they use this threat and other methods to oppress them. That's why they want to be honorary Eldians and become warriors. Becoming warriors gives a slightly better life for you and your family. Becoming a mildless titan isn't something Eldians want. 7. They only sent a few titans because it was supposed to be an easy mission. Zeke was brought later because they needed help. 8. The wrong names for Bartholomew will never end in this fandom lol.

Annie trailing Kenny means she was really close to finding the Reiss family that Kenny is guarding, she was super close to accomplishing their objective, all on her own. Bertholt in like Season 1 Episode 3 told the story of how they found out titans had breached the walls. This episode we learned where he got that story from - that guy who abandoned his children. Bertholt's sleeping position is a reference to the tarot card "The Hanged Man." Bertholt is often seen as indecisive, and this card references an inability to take action. The card also represents sacrifice for things to move on. The hanged man is also literally the fate of the guy who told those three the story of his selfish escape, the story Bertholt co-opted in season 1. The shadow at the end is a tree, but also looks like the coordinate in the paths, and it's a shadow cast over Eren. Eren's story, beginning and end, is associated with a tree. Reiner's mother didn't willingly get pregnant. That's why the guy in the barracks said "Did she send you here to get revenge." Revenge, because he did something wrong to her. I think it's also interesting Reiner had a split personality, and he was also split between Marleyan and Eldian blood, but I don't know if that association was intentional.

She must of figured out that Kenny had a connection with King and was tailing him. When Kenny caught her she quickly made up the story of being his daughter to throw him off. Obviously Kenny didn't fall for it. In regards to Reiner. He was not in a hospital but was probably in their military training compound where they train. Most likely an armory of sorts hence the bars and why he got his hand on a bolt action military rifle in order to delete himself. P.S. I don't know if you know this rule but if an episode does NOT end with the "To Be Continued..." screen then keep watching. In fact, this is very important for episode NEXT EPISODE !!! Yes watch episode 5 (63) to the end!!!

But deep down I hope at least two of the gang will rewatch the show. AOT is one of those show that you enjoy even more on the second and third time you watch it 😉

What Annie found, like 3 different Berthold things from the tarot card reference, to the more literal scene it references, to how he came up with his excuse early on... plus a specific shadow at the end... It's an episode that seems kind of light but is actually laden with references and subtle hints. Always kills me to see Reiner's mother hide the truth about how she got pregnant too, lots of people don't pick up on exactly what happened there. Can't wait for the next one though :D
