2025-02-02 23:10:23 +0000 UTCCan you say to them that actually the commander didn't sabotage Eren's gear out of spite because he wasn't special but because Carla said that being special and great is not that important that we are all special from the day we are born, in other words she doesn't want Eren to follow in his father's footsteps. So upon seeing "the fire" in eren's eyes, the same fire the commander saw in eren's father's eyes , he decided to sabotage his balancing test by breaking the fittings of his vertical maneuvering equipment belt, believing that Eren would be torn to ashes if he left the Walls like his father , never knowing Carla's wishes for his life. (because at that time he didn't know he would have the chance to talk with him about this and even if he did wouldn't change much). You could say that the commander's intentions were way more noble than any other person towards a woman he loved but who married somoene else.
