¡No Pasarán! Matt Christman's Spanish Civil War, the first book from Matt Christman as a solo author, will be available for order from Tuesday, October 1st - Thursday, October 31st exclusively at chapotraphouse.store.

The book is just under 200 pages, red hardcover with gold foil embossed title, with several beautiful illustrations from Julia Gfrörer. Edited by Megan Day, design + layout by Jon White, produced by yours truly. Manufactured by Gorham Press and distributed by Warren James.

We've worked hard to make this a really nice object (will look great on a shelf) in addition to a great representation of Matt's history in written word. Meagan did a phenomenal job editing and it's an immensely readable text with Matt's voice & humor present throughout.

Price will start at $40, though pending sales I might arbitrarily raise the price later in the month, so ORDER ASAP. We will also have a limited number (but like, several hundred) signed copies available for $65. Orders to UK/Europe will be available, but prices will be slightly higher for shipping. UPDATE: merch company says that unless you live somewhere on Earth that just doesn't get mail, this should ship to you.

As I've said on the show, this will be a ONE TIME sale window. Sales will be open ONE MONTH, October 1st-31st. We will then take exactly that many orders to the printer, with a 6-8 week production schedule. So this will be your one chance to get this, DO NOT MISS at chapotraphouse.store.

Also as mentioned on the show, all proceeds from this book (once we've paid everyone who worked on it, who have all been extremely kind to supply their time & talent on spec) will go directly to Matt & his family to help support his recovery. Finally, I’ve already been discussing with Matt some strategies for a follow-up book, one that distills his original ideas & arguments from the CushVlogs and other projects into a more direct & digestible format. The more successful this first book is, the more likely the next book is to happen. If you want more Matt books, let’s put this one on the best-seller list.

COLLECTIONS:

A small update to our shop that greatly increases its usability: our Collections are now available for individual purchase. So, many of our mini-series were previously only available to buy in the shop as .zip files of mp3s, for you to download and use on your iPod mini or whatever. Now you can purchase the collections themselves and stream the episodes in the playlist right here on the Patreon app like a regular podcast.

For regular subscribers, you have access to these episodes anyway. But, if you know anyone out there who might be Chapo-curious, or interested in just our History or Movie offerings, this is a much easier way to get access to just this content. I am also told Patreon will soon have several types of gift subscription features available, so hopefully these Collections will be available as gifts as well. I have also asked Patreon (a) about generating specific RSS feeds for purchased Collections to take them out of app and into your preferred podcatchers and (b) ways to grandfather in previous buyers of the .zip files from the shop into the more useful Collections. They are seeing what they can do!

Finally, I can assure you some long-teased new mini-series are nearing completion. Scripts are written. Clips are being downloaded. Recording and editing schedules being put in place.
