There is one moment in this episode that stuck with me most. I remember watching and remarking to myself like you did that she has a total lack of affect for nearly everything. Even with a stranger's hand on her breast, something which would be a serious violation to most young women, she simply asks him to move. And yet when Shinji insults Dr Ikari's work she immediately turns and slaps him. A lot of people focus on either her nudity or the ending with the particle beam attack, but that slap stuck with me.
