When Thorfinn hit the guy I dont think he was thinking of Einar's feelings at all tbh. Thorfinn has always been someone who takes and destroys. This farm was the very first time he put work into something and saw it become better than it started, and when the retainer said his wheat would be worthless it just triggered him into an attack. That was HIS field. I know he said he had no right to be mad earlier, but I dont think that removes the fact that he is in fact mad about it. He's just conflicted on his own feelings of being mad.

2024-07-29 20:42:03 +0000 UTCHearing Thorfinn finally say he didnt hate Askeladd anymore and that it made him empty - it really makes it so you have to look back and go "well WHEN did he stop hating Askeladd". I think it was long before Askeladd died tbh. He didnt really hate him he just held onto it for years out of pride and because it was the only thing he had. Thorfinn repressed himself for so long it's horrible.
