2024-07-15 18:54:34 +0000 UTCLove the flashback at the beginning of the episode - its a *bit* different from what we saw in S1 since its from Knut's perspective. The most interesting shot to me is that when Askeladd draws his blade you see a light shine on Knut's face. This parallels directly the scene in S1 where young Thorfinn found his father's dagger. At that time Thorfinn imagined the blade as being glorious and such, and the light was put out by Thors grabbing the dagger. Here though I think there's a lot that could be analyzed as to why its paralleling that moment. Perhaps Knut saw that blade as an easy and great way to become king and a path to glory, much like young Thorfinn.
