2024-07-09 00:41:02 +0000 UTCSteinsgate is both intellectually stimulating and incredibly written especially considering your background in Physics and Psychology and academia in general...it's also the most interesting considering the required watch order for the seasons and OVAs too. I'm sad Death Note is being chosen over it. But I hope it's considered in the future.

2024-07-08 13:19:19 +0000 UTCIf you let YouTube decide it will only ever be what's popular right now. With no regard for personality or tastes of the person reacting. Out of the others, Death Note is probably the way to go. It has the most reactions on YouTube for a reason.

2024-07-08 13:14:07 +0000 UTCDeath note - very well written anime up until a certain ep and then everyone agrees that after that the show kinds falls off. Great ending though. Steins Gate - Probably one of the few anime on par with attack on titan in terms of its story execution. Easily one of the best written anime of all time. Avatar the last Airbender : one of the best western animation stories ive ever seen. I put it on par with arcane though arcane is an overall better show imo. Full metal alchemist brotherhood : Shonen done right. Probably the most "perfect" shonen. It does nothing extraordinary or mind blowing but what it does is to tell a really good story with alot of heart in the most perfect way. I literally can't think of a single plothole or flaw of this anime. I think Steins gate is the best choice here. It gives you alot of hints and alot of opportunities to figure things out yourself. Perfect for you imo.
