Marlo's last thoughts were, "I don't get it... Why am I, at a time like this... ?". The rest of that thought that he doesn't finish articulating is, in my mind, "thinking of Hitch?" He realized he loved her at the very end. If anyone reading this is as heartbroken about Marlo's death as I was, do yourself a favor and google some Marlo & Hitch fan art. It'll make you feel better, lol.

Oh my gosh! I just realized I think you skipped all the Lost Girls OVA’s!! The 2-parter Goodbye Wall Sina is supposed to be watched after Season 2, and Lost in a Cruel World is meant to be after S3 Part 1. Watching them before S4 is kinda the last time it makes sense, as once season 4 starts it’s full steam ahead to the end of the show. Would love to see your reactions to these OVAs!

Yeah, Historia with royal blood touching Eren with Founding Titan activates parts of the abilities of Founding Titan/coordinate, but not full potential. By touching Historia now he just see memories/accessing paths. He was able to control Titans only when he touched Dina in titnan form. She needs to be Titan with royal blood, as Eren said. In the same time Zeke with royal blood and the Titan have some abilities, but not full without touching person with Founding Titan. We actually know only that he can control pure Titans, that's it.

it's impossible to tell what people think moments before they die but in general we tend to reconsider really important decisions evne after we've already made them and even if we think we made the right choice just to be sure and I mean ... from your perspective there's no more important decision you could make than wether or not to sacrifice your life for something

its like so many systems great in theory but comes with its problems
for example a LOT of people belong to SOME minority but each one is small so its easier to get a majority for exploiting EACH INDIVIDUAL minority while in a party system its harder for a party that exploits all of them
similarly if you have to make one of many difficult choices with direct democracy you can get stuck in a kindof indecisive loop where if you have to inevitbaly decide for the least terrible of several bad outcomes the voting is set up in such away that the decision is just "none" so you just can't react to the situation

marley uses titans
and while miltiary technology advances over time, the titans do not
so that advantage that they've built up their current place in the world on becomes less and less significant over time

I don't think it's quite the same. The King of the Walls was a slave to his idea of paradise and that transfers to a new host every time, changing them completely. Eren, on the other hand, is a slave to his idea of Freedom, and that remains unchanged. Unfortunately, I don't think we can say more without delving too much into spoiler territory but the topic will certainly come up again and is quite interesting.

For the end credit scenes, i think they are showing us some stuff that we have already seen in Paradis Island and then the stuff that was happening at the same time in Marley. It just makes you realize how much we don't know about this world yet. Can't wait for your reactions to season 4, it is definitely my favorite. I hope you'll keep sharing your thoughts with us and don't worry about the length of your videos. There is a lot of stuff in this upcoming season that is worth discussing.

I like how Eren’s definition of “the enemy” changes over time.
In Season 1, the enemy is titans. It feels pure and good in a sense. They are mindless creatures that try and kill us, of course we should fight.
In Season 2, the enemy becomes human-titans. Eren hates Reiner/Bertold, they are humans that fight alongside titans, trying to destroy humanity. Though the lines are now more blurry. The enemy is part human, and even former comrades.
In Season 3, by the end, the enemy is those on the other side of the sea. Regular humans. We’ve now fully transitioned into hatred and war just like we see in the real world.
I love this gradual transition over the seasons. Truly a masterpiece.

"He's not Eren anymore" < - - this is what I was mentioning last time, I'm glad to see you bring it up here. I feel like when we see him standing on the edge of the sea (a perfect frame for frame from the start of season 3, which I think is great, I remember at that time wondering why Armin wasn't with him, and so believing Armin died in Hero). Anyway, when we see Eren here, I feel like we're seeing something similar to what happens with the first king's will taking over the successors of the royal family. Eren here seems desperate to me. He doesn't want this to keep going, he doesn't want revenge It feels more like he is mourning what freedom might cost, and begging for another way to be free. The animators did an amazing job here (though I'm always annoyed with how his hand doesn't seem to have proper perspective, but that's a ME problem.)

As im the sound engineer: i again want to recommend to go for the soundtracks now.
You usually have the ritual to look for OP/ED after a Season.
Before you start Season4 it's a perfect timing to watch the ''Attack on Titan Suite - Hiroyuki Sawano'' on Youtube. It's an 18Minute long collection of all coresoundtracks of Season1-Season3 in a live concert. It's mainly written in german so you could add some insights and translation for your viewers :D.
From Season 4 on the main composer switches so right now would be the best moment to look for these Soundtracks before you get copletely new ones.
PS.: The Season 4 (Part1) Opening is 100% spoilerfree and watchable. Just confusing first.

I admire Isayama's portrayal of Floch here. He uniquely captures the perspective of someone outside the main circle of characters. Floch's belief in the necessity of a "Devil" like Erwin to lead against enemies contrasts sharply with Armin's more cautious approach. His willingness to challenge the main characters adds depth to the story. Floch's struggles, surviving when others didn't, thinking about himself as useless coward, and then his efforts to save Erwin, only to have it seemingly in vain beacuse of Levi's decision to let Erwin rest, though emotional, understandably frustrates Floch after all his sacrifices for the mission.
I guess, wierd face expression of Frieda was because she tried to not became completely taken over and shut down by the first King's will. As far as we know — Rod and Uri wanted, when they were teenagers, to use royal power to stop titans. And it seems Frieda also may have such mindset, she genuinely seemed like a good person who wanted to help humanity.
The Ocean scene is a poignant blend of beauty and heartache. Eren's long-awaited moment, once filled with dreams of freedom, now carries a profound sense of disillusionment. It seems at the end — it is Armin dreamed about Ocean, but for Eren Ocean was symbol of possibility to be free. Despite reaching the ocean he yearned for, he discovers that true freedom remains elusive even beyond the walls.
And the strongest soldiers, Levi and Mikasa being a little bit scared of the ocean is so cute :)
Thank you for reaction!

There is a historical pattern of economic destabilizations being the precursor to future conflicts. If you delve into the histories of the two major world wars, or more recent wars, you can see that pattern emerge as a contributing factor for future conflict. That being said, you can't hide away from the world and pretend that you can survive in a bubble of ignorance. It just doesn't work that way in the real world.
As for Marlo, I guess it could be viewed as him having a mixture of regret and a realization that he actually had feelings for Hitch near the end. As for Floch, he is a interesting character. Sometimes people forget where he started, in Season 3, when they consider his character and his development. As for Levi choosing Armin over Erwin, I think it's because Levi wanted his friend to finally have a measure of peace.
To lift the burden of his need to find out the truth that was a dream turned into a nightmare. Especially when Erwin thought about just how many people he lead to their death as a result of his pursuit of the truth. Erwin had a tremendous amount of pent up guilt, and grief, when he thought about his dead Scouts as we learned.
Lastly, it looked like Eren tapped into something very intense when he kissed Historia's hand.
Believe it or not season 4 is going to be even BETTER then season 3. However if you need to take a break in order to process it all feel free. Can't wait until you start up again however.
