Working on a Ren'Py "game", maybe
Added 2023-06-12 15:50:26 +0000 UTCI recently started playing around with Ren'Py (that software made for visual novels). I want to make it more substantial before I release it to patrons, but I'm not sure what direction to take it in.
Currently, it's basically just a collection of short animations and some images. You start the game, see a menu (pictured above), click one and see an animation, and that's pretty much it. Some growths have multiple stages. Currently there are about 15 animations.
Anyways, I want to make it a little more exciting than just what is essentially a gallery before releasing it. I want to gauge interest on what people like to play. I don't really have an interest in making a proper VN, but I want there to be some challenge before you get to see the animations and images. Maybe a sort of puzzle game where you need to combine certain things to get certain results. Any input is appreciated. If people really really like visual novels then maybe I can be talked into it.
