Unfortunately, last month everything hit the preverbal fan. The nurse that was visiting us every day to help with my dad is no longer coming here due to changes in government funding. So now it's just me taking care of both of my parents. Dad's dementia is horrible now. He can't remember what you told him literally a minute ago. Mom's knee has given out so she can barely walk. She's getting by right now with the aid of a cane but it's still difficult for her. I've been running myself ragged trying to take care of them and I'm not doing a very good job, to be honest. It's just a LOT all at once. I'm still working towards finding some new semblance of normal so I can have some spare time again and get back to modding and such. Right now, I'm tired. Very tired. And I still need to run more errands tonight. *sigh* I'll try to get back here as soon as I can. Until then, I apologize for my absence.

New Mods
Take Turns Bowling Fix - Makes it so that Sims will focus only on bowling when they are playing a game together. Requires Bowling Night SP.
Stop Dogs from Drinking/Playing In Puddles - Does as it says without having to train the doggies. They never even think to do it! Requires Cats and Dogs EP.
Magickal Trait - Create the Ultimate Spellcaster with this cool new trait! Requires Realm of Magic GP.
Mystical Trait for Horses - They'll never die or age past adult, usually stays happy, has fun training, and more features. Requires Horse Ranch EP.
Updated Mods
Events - All events have been updated with a new version of the Aspiration Fix. This fix makes my events and ones Maxis forgot count towards the Party Aspiration goals.
Easy Does It Horse Trait - Removed immortality from it (if you want that now, see Mystical Horse Trait above), and added features to make using training objects Fun.
Stop Dogs from Whining During Storms - Added more bad weather types to stop them from whining about wanting to go for a walk during.
Too Many Traits to Name - I fixed a ton of my traits to add a human-only restriction so they stop showing up on stray pets. Also fixed/lowered the Wants priority for several traits.
Other News
I updated my logo and avatar for Simularity today! I also joined Threads and will start keeping my Instagram updated again. I also have two aspirations in the works, some new traits and lot traits, new tuning mods and fixes, and much more. Tune in next week to see what I have for you next!

I've got several new things for you all today. You can see the full rundown on my website in today's Simularity Update 124. Here is the brief version:
New Stuff:
Psychology Career 2.0 - Includes two career branches, unique social and object interactions, and more. I really worked hard on this one and it took me quite a while to get all the various pieces of the mod to work together. I'm so happy to finally have this finished!
Fearful Trait - Brand-new trait for Sims who want to be scared of most everything. It's a lot more fun than it sounds! I'll add more fears and features to this trait in the coming weeks/months. Great for storytelling!
Better Music Wants Fix - This improves the "fix" that Maxis made for music wants. Now there is a full day cooldown (instead of ten hours) and the wants will now only trigger if your Sim owns a stereo. No stereo, no music wants.
Updated Stuff:
Don't Do That Mods - Updated the Don't Kick Trash Cans and Don't Prank Toilets for Sims with traits that allowed them to get past the previous versions of those mods. Now no one can kick trash cans over or prank toilets! I also added a brand-new "Don't React to Mice" which stops all reactions to mouse holes and mice from City Living EP. This was a requested mod.
Cottage Living Fixes Collection - Updated the More Social Gain fix so that each and every time you interact with a small animal, your social relationship gain is significantly higher. This was also created by request.
Crafter Trait - Fixed buffs and wants from triggering when your Sim doesn't own the required objects.
Techie Trait - Added several new wants and changed their priority so they only pop up as often as any other trait's wants.

Long story short, a LOT is coming soon! Each time I think I'm going to run out of mod ideas, I am either struck by inspiration or receive an interesting mod request. So yeah, I should have plenty more to keep us all busy in the coming months.

I FINALLY have the new Rock Star 2.0 career done!! YAY!!! You can download it now and see all the new features I added. It's still a quite challenging career and some of its chance cards can be brutal if you choose unwisely. I hope you enjoy it!! I created some other new stuff and updates as well. I also want to mention that I created a new Google Group just for all of my wonderful volunteer mod translators! The group will help us keep everything sorted and organized. I'm working on creating a group and spreadsheet of my mods to help translators know what needs translating and what doesn't. Hopefully it will also help with overlap. :) Stay tuned!

First off, the highly requested “Don’t Drink Horse Pee” mod has been added to my Don’t Do That Mods collection. Now your little goats and sheep will stop drinking from horse-made puddles!
Also new today, the Flower Arranging Custom Preference. Now your Sims can decide if they like or dislike creating flower arrangements. Requires the Seasons EP since that’s where the Flower Arranging comes from.
I updated the Farmer Trait to fix the buff icons which were not showing up for people who don’t have certain packs. Now the trait should show the correct icons for everyone no matter what.
I created a new set of eyes in my “Lifelike Eyes” series. This time for horses! Check out my brand-new Lifelike Eyes for Horses! These are default replacements and remember that you can only have one set of default replacements at one time!
I also updated my Lifelike Eyes for Cats & Dogs completely. I created brand-new textures for all eyes for all pets. I also added new heterochromia options so your cats and/or dogs can have mismatched eyes now!

If you have the Horse Ranch EP, would you be so kind as to test this new mod for me and let me know if it works as intended? This mod should stop mini goats and mini sheep from drinking puddles made by horses. If it works, I'll add it to my Don't collection of mods as "Don't Drink Horse Pee". LOL I'm trying to test it myself but it's proving a little difficult. I'd really appreciate some help! Thank you and don't forget to post a comment letting me know whether it works or not!

I recently got a request to make it so that drinking coffee would make Sims happy and be fun. I took that a step further and created a brand-new custom preference just for coffee! Now they can like it or loathe it! Check out the new Coffee Custom Preference!
I also updated the Fabrication Custom Preference to fix a game-breaking error. It works fine now. I modified the energy values of all the drinks in my Increased Energy from Drinks mod so that they aren't so overpowering. Oh, and I added some newer features to the Genius Trait as part of my Improved Maxis Traits mod set as per request.
I took down the Rock Star Career page as the career is broken. I will repost it once I am able to finish fixing it. If you have that career mod in your game, please remove it until I post a new version. Thank you.
Also added today were a TON of new translations in Finnish and Polish thanks to WitchyLilyFlower and Nenusia respectfully. To see the full list of mods that were translated by each today, please see the Simularity Update 118.

I have two new mods for you today! The first is a new trait for horses called "Easy Does It". This trait will make horses way easier to maintain, train, and generally have around. :) The other new mod is "No Dying Livestock" which will keep all of your chickens, rabbits, foxes, sheep, and goats from dying.
I also finally posted some new rugs that I created back in March of this year. They are Baroque Rugs and Colorful Woven Rugs.
Also of note, due to several reported problems, I had to temporarily take down my Rock Star Career mod. Once I fix it, I'll post it again. If you have it in your game, please remove it for now. Sorry for the trouble.

The majority of my mods are now cleared as working fine with the new patch and Horse Ranch pack. I updated around 12 or more mods to make them work which you can find on my Mod Updates page with all the info and links.
The following two mods are considered broken (and are the only mods of mine that are so far considered broken) due to reports from users. I'm now working on fixes but that will take time.

I just downloaded the newest patch for the game and will be testing all of my mods for compatibility with it here in a few minutes. You might check out my Patch Updates page later today or tomorrow for updates. :) I'll also be working on some new mod requests. I have pre-ordered the Horse Ranch EP thanks to all of you and will start modding it as soon as I download it tomorrow. Let me know if you have any mod requests for it! I plan to update the Simularity website with some new mods and cc sometime early next week.
I need to let you all know that the server bills for my website will be due next month. I greatly appreciate everyone who has become a patron and also donated through Ko-Fi. If you've been following along, you know that I've been "gone" since the end of April due to losing my beloved chihuahua Aayla after nearly 14 years of companionship. It threw my life into a complete upheaval. I started reevaluating EVERYTHING and making countless changes. I'm still feeling out of sorts and trying to find a new "normal". On the bright side, I have a new puppy named Abbey Rose. She's not Aayla, but I love her and she's so sweet. I'm sure Aayla would approve. Now onto the stuff that affects you...
I've decided that I WILL continue to create mods and other stuff for the Sims 4. I'm right now going through a huge backlog of site emails and trying to get caught up. I should have some new stuff and/or updates to my mods and cc in July. I also pre-ordered the Horse Ranch EP so I can mod it for you too.
For now, I'm going to get my work desk cleaned up and then see where I left off on several mods back in April. Then I'll work on getting the website caught up. Thank you for sticking with me through this difficult time.

I've been sent a lot of messages of condolence and care. Thank you all. It means so much to me in this time of darkness. I miss Aayla terribly. The first couple of days/nights I had some really dark thoughts. I worried a lot of people. My parents were so worried that they got me a puppy in the hopes it would help. It has helped me a great deal. My heart has yet to heal, and never will completely, of course but I'm no longer alone thanks to the new pup. She's giving me reason to smile again.
I'll probably be a crying mess this Wednesday though, that's when Aayla's ashes will come home. I bought a memorial box to put them in. I think this will grant me at least a little solace.
Every once in a while, I will call the new pup "Aayla" by mistake and choke up a little. Also, my dad has dementia and occasionally forgets that Aayla died and asks me where she's at. I know he can't help it, but it hurts so much to have to say what happened again and again. I'm doing my best to stay strong.
The new puppy I mentioned, I named her Abbey Rose. She's a long hair chihuahua that looks nothing like Aayla for which I am grateful. Aayla can never be replaced. Abbey Rose is Aayla's successor. I think Aayla would want me to be happy and love again and not be alone.
I'll be back to modding the first week of May. After a quick check once I downloaded the update makes me think my mods are clear for the latest patch. I'm not 100% sure but I didn't get any errors when I started the game, so outlook is good.
Oh, and here is a photo of Abbey Rose in the hopes her cute face will make you smile too. :)

I had to take this past week off due to my beloved Aayla being ill. I now need another week because today, she died. I’m a crying, grieving mess. I keep looking for her then remembering she’ll never be here again. I just can’t focus on much. I’m trying to work on my art projects to get my mind off the grief but modding is just too much for me right now. I may not be able to answer emails and messages until I return. I’m walking around like a zombie. My heart is shattered.

I need to take this week off. My beloved chihuahua is very ill and I am sick with worry that she may pass soon. I am a crying mess. I'll be taking her to the vet in the morning to see what can be done to help her. Please send positive thoughts for my baby and hope that this is not the end.

I did it again. I left my latest news post in my drafts folder rather than posting it and I don't even know how I do that. LOL Anyway, here's what's new:
I've started a new mod collection called Improved Maxis Traits. So far I have only "improved" the Genius Trait but I'll be adding more over time. Next up will be the Loves Outdoors Trait.
Here are this week's mod updates:
The Bipolar Trait & Dementia Traits have been updated so that their "Discuss Fears" interaction has an appropriate icon and appears in the "Deep Thoughts" sub menu under Friendly interactions.
I fixed and updated all three of my custom preference mods to work with the latest patches and packs plus to fix some LE errors they had the potential to previously cause. Those mods are Archaeology Preference, Fabrication Preference, and Reading Preference.
Finally, I updated the Mad Scientist Aspiration to remove it's ts4script file so as to avoid the game's script limit. It now requires XML Injector.
In regard to Custom Content, I uploaded two new rug sets for your littlest Sims. The new sets are Kids Room Rugs and Nursery Rugs. I also updated all of my old rug sets with color and decor theme tags.
I'll have more rug sets for you next week! Also, next week, I will have a new lot trait and maybe some career mod updates plus that second improved Maxis trait.

Also, nearly every trait has been updated with new Chinese Traditional and Simplified translations thanks to Wanzi!

I'm working on new sets of CC rugs!! The rugs I made in the past are probably my most popular CC so it's only right that I make MORE. I've got four or five sets finished and ideas for even more. If there's a specific color or style of set that you'd like to see, let me know and I'll make your request a priority.
Of course, I'm also working on more mods and mod updates. I created a requested lot trait for Spellcasters but I'm having trouble coming up with unique buffs for it. If you have suggestions, let me know. Thanks!

I'm currently in the process of testing and updating all of my mods. As you may know, I have created a LOT of them, and some cc seems affected too. I'm going through everything as quickly and efficiently as I can. Here's what I've found so far as of 6:30PM CST:
My Lifelife Eyes 1 & 2 need to be updated once Sims 4 Studio is also updated. No ETA since it's out of my hands.
All Traits, Careers, Aspirations, and Events appear to work. I'm still in the process of testing Lot Traits. Traditions should work but I need to test them more too.
Speaking of Careers, I've got some big updates in the works for them. I'll upload the first of the big updates next week once I'm sure they work with the new EP on Thursday.
Most of my Tuning Mods also seem unaffected except for these four which I have just updated:

I've updated a ton of mods with new translations since March 04 (see the Mod Updates page for more info) and added a new "Dont Do That" mod that stops Sims from autonomously burping and farting. This was made by request. :)
I'm now trying to mentally and physically prepare myself for the Modpocolypse 2023 also known as next Tuesday's major game patch. I probably won't release any more mods until after I get all the updates done that I'll need to do on Tuesday. Be prepared for one of my Patch Updates posts!
I do have a lot in the works though. I'm updating all of my careers at the moment, but I don't want to release them until I see how the patch and the new EP affects custom careers. Thanks to my patrons, I'll be able to get the new EP and start modding and updating right away. :) Thank you ever so much for your support! It means the world to me!
I said I was trying to prepare physically yet here I am up all night working again. It's 3am and I haven't slept yet. I have nights where I just don't sleep and tonight appears to be one of those nights. Hmm, I think I'll get some iced coffee!!

New Mods
First off, I have finished the Mental Health Medications mod! Mod includes three medications (Anxiety Reliever, Antidepressant, and Mood Stabilizer) to help both with my traits and anyone else’s similar traits!
The other new mod is another "stop this annoyance" mod. :D No More Time Capsules or Maps mod which stops both time capsules and maps from ever being the result of digging on rocks!
Mod Updates
As per request, I created a new flavor of my mod Industrial Loft Converted Bookcase! Now you can choose to either override the original object and have it only as a bookcase or add an additional object so that you have both a bookcase and decor version.
I also updated four of my traits. The Agoraphobia Trait has been updated with a new and better fitting main icon, fixed fear triggers, fixed a location buff to be more precise, and no more conflicts with other traits. I also fixed the fear triggers, conflicts with other traits, one of the buffs of my Artist Trait. Finally, both the Bipolar Trait and the Dementia Trait have been updated to fix their fear triggers and fixed all conflicts.

I have several more mod updates in the works including some updates for a few of my career mods and I think I finally fixed a stubborn issue with one of my aspirations once and for all! Those should all be available in my next update in early March after I finish testing them out.

Lots of news today so let’s get to it!
New Mods
I have two new Tuning Mods for you today! The first is the Longer Cooldowns for Fears mod. This mod will change the ways Fears work so that they will be unable to trigger for one in-game week after the fear has been conquered.
The second new mod is Industrial Loft Converted Bookcase. This mod overrides the decorative shelf from the Industrial Loft Kit into a working bookcase. I mean, it has books on it and mentions books in the object description so why wasn’t it already a bookcase?! Regardless, now it is! You must have the Industrial Loft Kit for this object override to work!!
Mod Updates
I have one mod update for you today. I updated my Public Welfare Career mod by completely recoding it. It’s now a smaller file size and also your Sim can now pick up checks twice a week instead of just once. As always, be sure to regularly check my Mod Updates page for all of what is updated and links to the updated posts.

I’ll have more updates for you next week or so along with two more new mods including one of my most requested mods! I, like most of you, am really excited about the new expansion pack coming out in March (ugh, three more weeks). I plan to get it and see what all new mods I can make for it.

I've been working on one of the most requested mods since I started, medications for my mental illness traits. It took me quite a while to figure it all out, but now I have! At least, I think I have. I could really use some help testing them out and giving me opinions on them.
The Medications included are: Antidepressant, Anxiety Reliever, and Mood Stabilizer.
I could have given them fancy names, but I opted for simplicity. Some illnesses require more than one medication, that's some realism there! Also added for realism, medication side effects! The side effects are random and shouldn't pop up too often.
So, would you like to try them out and let me know what you think? The easiest/best trait for testing them all out is my Bipolar trait. Although, if I programmed them correctly, they should work with ANY traits and not just mine. :D
Make sure you install all six files. I'm not entirely sure why I separated them out like that, but I did. If you think I should combine them all together, that's one of the opinions I'm looking for. :)
To buy the medications in the game, use a Computer object (might be best to select a Maxis-made computer, I haven't tested them on CC yet, but you could) and from the computer menu select "Order" and then "Medicine". The three bottles of my medications should be there. Notice, as another bit of realism, they're somewhat expensive. I plan to work on discounts for certain Sims later on.

Stupid me forgot to post an update here last time I updated Simularity. I'm sorry about that. So, I'll go over what's new in my last update and in today's update. :)
New Mods:
Last week I introduced the Improved Date Events Mod. This improves base game dating events for everyone. I added new goals, took out some annoying goals, added new venues for dates, and made dates slightly more challenging.
Today I added the Cottage Living Fixes Collection. This includes five small mods to fix various aspects of Cottage Living EP (mostly livestock related).
Updated Mods:
Last week I made a major update to my Crafter Trait. It now has support for icemunmun's Soap Making Station mod! I also added several new Wants and other features.
Today I updated the Stop Notifications for High School Events Mod to have two flavors instead of one. One flavor stops only the sounds of the notifications while the other stops the notifications completely. Please make sure to install only one flavor of the mod!

I'm working on several new mods for release in the near future. One of the mods I'm working on that I'm most excited about is also one of my most requested: medications for my mental illness mods! So far, I haven't been able to get the mod to work LOL but I'll keep working on it for as long as it takes to get it working. I'm also working on some new personality traits, lot traits, and more. I'm currently working on several new mods! Yay!
The first is a complete overhaul of date events for all ages teen and above. The mod is more or less done but I want to test it one more time before I release it. I think you'll be pleased with it. :)
I'm also working on a collection of fixes and improvements for the Cottage Living EP. It's my favorite EP so far and there's several things I've noticed in my gameplay that I'd like to change so... I'm making mods to make those changes! Best of all, once completed I will be sharing them with all of you! I have five of these mods so far, I may make more before I'm finished.
I've got a couple other mod ideas in my notebook but I'm always open to suggestions. If there's a mod you would like to see me create, feel free to send me your idea and I'll try my best to create it. I'm not a miracle worker as I can't do it all, but I will try my best!
I might also be creating some new CC and lots soon. Not sure yet. We shall see when we shall see!
BTW, who else wishes that Maxis had waited until closer to the release date to publish that Growing Together EP trailer??? Having to wait another 34 days is causing me physical pain. I'm too antsy.

I apologize for my absence. In early December my medications were “incorrectly adjusted” and I fell into a depression. Once the medication situation was rectified and I started to feel better, I got a baby. A baby Goffin’s Cockatoo that is. His name is Jojo and I’ve been busy helping him settle into his new home. He’s well settled now so I’m finally able to do some new work. He’s also the best emotional support bird ever.
I’ve finally got to where I can play the Sims again. Lately I’ve been trying to test out all of my mods for all the latest patches. I noticed an error/conflict between my Agoraphobia and Artist Traits, so I’ll now look into how to fix that. I haven’t noticed any other errors yet. I’ll keep looking.
I’m not sure when I’ll have any new mods ready as first, I need to make sure all the current ones are working as best as they can be. I’m also saving up for that recently announced new expansion pack and I’m sure there will be new mods needed once the new life stage comes out! That patch will probably break some mods too.
