Song: Aurelio Voltaire - To The Bottom Of The Sea
Oh look! A mermaid on may! How original. Well I had already said that I wanted to draw this from before.
Do you remember her? It's the mermaid from that one picture some time ago! I'm reusing this design for this.
Though through here you can actually see her design better with the less dramatic lighting. Even though I'm also using that trick of changing the colors though the shadow of an umbrella I used on that RJ and Zara picture from some weeks ago. What can I say besides I really like that trick, but I promise to not overuse it. Lol
Well, now that I'm revisiting that mermay picture here I thought it would be a cool moment to finish a doodle I've had lying around of the hypothetical direct sequel where we can see the date of our Whisperer heroes and I'm glad to inform you that “They are well” but barely with Nicole still in trance and Vero Ignacio and The doll making it to the island where Nicole ended up just in the nick of time to save her leg. And possibly the rest of her.
Back then I didn't post or finish the doodle because I felt it would take away the suspense and misery of the whole situation but, oh well, enough time has passed.
This picture also officializes The mermaid’s status as a “man eater” “or Vixen eater if one wants to be specific, so, as I said then, No shipping these two. Lol.
I guess there goes mermaids as potential love interests for characters in this world though there's always the possibility of this being a big misunderstanding but in any case, hey! There's always witches.
Don't take this as gospel though, I'm not making this picture completely canon yet just in case one day I want to revisit this concept again. And I feel like I may want to. Nautical is always a pretty cool aesthetic and I need to draw the doll on her “cute sailor suit that she totally hates” at least once more before I die.
Two versions of this picture as you may have already noticed. In this case the original ones and the SFW edits.
I think I'll be making the SFW public by the end of the month and leaving the NSFW as a Patreon exclusive though I haven't decided.
It almost feels counterintuitive because I see the nude version as the original as having the mermaids in this world going naked makes them feel more like creatures than people and I think that's spookier. But then again, this picture specifically wasn't exactly made to be scary anyways so…
Actually that's a thing that kind of makes me feel like it's not even the same mermaid as before. Or at least not the same type.
