Taj y Ale se detienen por un trago en alguna fuente de sodas y tienen una corta discusión.

Este iba a ser un comic cortito que pensé sería una cosita extra en el post original con estos dos. Me he estado divirtiendo con estos detallitos extra para expandiendo la idea de un dibujo últimamente, y con este había usado un estilo simplista de coloreado que inventé para estos dibujitos extras (El dibujo de ellos en el caballo como ejemplo) Pero este cómic me gustó tanto que al final si lo acabe bien.

Está inspirado en uno de los mejores datos curiosos de la revolución Mexicana de sobre como Pancho Villa era un gran amante de las malteadas de fresa y su aversión por el alcohol.

Me gusta pensar que Ale se enteró o lo vio en persona, le entró curiosidad, probó una alguna vez y ahora también es fan de las malteadas. Y ahora Taj también al parecer.

Hice un poco de investigación pero no encontré mucho sobre cuánto habría podido haber costado una malteada en México en ese entonces. Así que el precio es una referencia a la otra inspiración para este cómic, la malteada de $5 dólares de Tiempos Violentos. 

Veran, lo que sí averigüé es que un peso estaba a 50 centavos de dólar en ese entonces así que la malteada de $5 dólares se convierte en la malteada de $10 pesos y si suena a que era mucho dinero entonces. 

Aún así desconozco el precio real así que la implicación aquí es que la malteada estaba cara o que Taj es algo tacaño y ambas funcionan para mi.

Ambas son buenas razones para el último panel en el que comparten la malteada en vez de comprar otra.

Aún así voy a conservar el archivo original para poder cambiar el precio si después averiguo algo más.

En el último cuadro se trata más de la imagen de dos rudos revolucionarios compartiendo una malteada pero parece que también están teniendo un momento. Por ahora realmente no veo a estos dos como una "pareja™". Son más bien como hermanos de armas, pero con una clara tensión sexual entre ellos.

Esta no es la mejor forma de explicarlo pero posiblemente si es la más boba y por lo tanto la que más me divierte así que aquí va.

Hay un episodio de American Dad en el que (Spoilers) Steve y sus amigos encuentran en restos de un avionazo el guión para la próxima película de Rápidos y Furiosos. Pero al leerlo descubre que está repleto de escenas homoeróticas entre las de acción. Piensan que es un error y deciden quitar las páginas con escenas más explícitas y llevar lo que queda a Hollywood. Al final terminan con un guión de 8 páginas.

Cuando se lo llevan a un productor él revela que esas escenas son importantes ya que "los matices gay crean la química y tensión que hacen que la película funcione". Lo graban todo y editan esas partes.

Y bueno siendo asi, aunque supongo que sin lo gay, como yo lo veo, si estuvieras viendo una aventura con Taj y Ale estarías viendo la versión editada de esta forma, pero no se supone que lo sepas. 

Y espero que pronto veamos más aventuras con estos dos. A ver si ahora si me acuerdo de dibujarlos más seguido jaja.

The Milkshake.

Taj and Ale stop for a drink at a soda fountain and have a brief discussion.

This was originally going to be a short comic that I thought would be a little extra in the original post featuring these two. I've been having fun with these little extra details to expand on the idea of ​​a drawing lately, and with this one I had used a simplistic coloring style I came up with for these extra drawings (the drawing of them on the horse as an example). But I liked this little comic so much that I ended up finishing it well.

It's inspired by one of the best fun facts about the Mexican Revolution, about how Pancho Villa was a huge lover of strawberry milkshakes and his aversion to alcohol.

I like to think that Ale heard about that or saw it in person, got curious, tried one once, and is now a milkshake fan too. And now Taj is too, apparently.

I did a little research but didn't find much about how much a milkshake might have cost in Mexico back then. So the price is a reference to the other inspiration for this comic, the $5 milkshake from Pulp Fiction.

See, what I did find out is that one peso was worth 50 cents of a dollar back then, so the $5 dollar milkshake becomes the $10 peso milkshake, that does sound like a lot of money back then.

I still don't know the actual price, so the implication here is either that the milkshake was expensive or that Taj is a bit cheap, and both work for me.

Both are good reasons for the last panel where they share the milkshake instead of buying another one.

I'm still going to keep the original file so I can change the price if I find out more later.

The last frame is more of an image of two tough revolutionaries sharing a milkshake, but it also seems like they're having a moment. For now, I don't really see these two as a “couple ™”. They're more like brothers in arms, but with a clear sexual tension between them.

This isn't the best way to explain it, but it's possibly the silliest and therefore the one that amuses me the most, so here it goes.

There's an episode of American Dad where (Spoilers) Steve and his friends find the script for the next Fast & Furious movie in the wreckage of a plane crash. But upon reading it, they discover it's full of homoerotic scenes among the action ones. They think it's a mistake and decide to cut out the pages with the most explicit scenes and take what's left to Hollywood. In the end, they end up with an 8-page script.

When they take it to a producer, he reveals that those scenes are important because “the gay undertones create the chemistry and tension that make the movie work”. They record everything and edit those parts.

And well, that being the case, although I suppose without the gay aspect, the way I see it, if you were watching an adventure with Taj and Ale, you'd be seeing the edited version this way, but you're not supposed to know that.

And I hope we see more adventures with these two soon. Let's see if I remember to draw them more often now, lol.
