If I had a nickel every time I think about continuing this series I started years ago, I'd have like a bunch of them. One a week at least.

When I started this Patreon I posted this piece with Diana, it was old even then, it's from a series of pictures I wanted to make of close ups of members of the band while playing in concerts. The idea is for them to be inspired by old footage of concerts from the 70s and 80s and the way those old cameras captured lights.

The idea is still that because I still want to finish it. It's one of those, “One of these days I'm actually gonna do it!” Type of things for me.

This is the second one of this series featuring Davo mid drum solo. Hence why there is more blur and afterimages than the other one, I wanted to give the sensation of speed and movement. That’s also why he looks kind of tired.

A thing I had forgotten is that the files for these pictures are named after the instruments in the pictures, or to be more precise the ones I used as reference as these are close up pictures and I wanted it to be accurate. I acquired a big and accurate 3d model of a Fender guitar for Diana, and for this one I actually got access to an actual Pearl drum set and took reference photos.

One of the things that delayed this series at the beginning is that I couldn't get a good enough reference for Tony's keyboard from the angle I wanted. Since then I've come up with solutions for that problem, now it's just a time issue. I got some things I want to finish before focusing on this series, like a probably 20 pages long comic (currently on page 10) I'm working on for example.

But I really want to have made at least one of these pictures before the year is over, Tony or otherwise.
