And I think it's a horror film.
I haven't really expanded on Ian's story, and there's not really a reason for that, I just haven't. But here's this.
Ian moved into town from the outskirts of the city after highschool. He was sharing a department with a friend until that friend had to move in with his new wife before they had their kid.
After having a number of short lasting jobs, he landed one at the library where he worked for a couple of weeks before he received a call from his boss Mr Wa with two requests from him.
First. He gave him the instructions to find the secret wing of the library. The part containing books about the unknown.
The second one was for Ian to call his boss’s daughter an tell her to go for a check on him. See, that morning Mr Wa was going to check his blood sugar, and it probably was very high as when he noticed he was having problems grabbing the glucometer he also noticed that he had left his body on the bed.
Ian has always been into horror and the macabre so he adapted pretty well into his new job responsibilities. Especially considering very few people know about the part of the library so there's not a lot of visitors and he gets a lot of time to watch movies and go on adventures with his new friends.
He did freaked out a bit when he met Boris, the monster from behind the book shelf. But he's nice, and also, he's not always there anyway. No one really knows where does he goes thought there's actually nothing behind the wall that book shelf is against.
I have had this idea por an illustration for a while now but I was just recently inspired to actually do it cause I just got myself a new office. An old room in my house that was filled with old stuff. The other night while working until late there I heard some noises. But I was pretty brave and ignored them.
Cause there's two options, either it was nothing and then who cares? Or it was a ghost and in that case I don't want to bother them, I don't want supernatural enemies. We can be like roommates that never talk but respect each other's space. Or even better, we can be friends like in this picture.
But I'm sure it was nothing though. The house is new, no one has lived here other than my family and no one has died here. As far as I know.
Also, Clara the Hippie cameo cause I haven't drawn her in a while. She's a friend the Whisperers have and appears from time to time.
After the last Comic I made I felt like doing a smaller but more detailed piece, all done on my iPad, except for the Fan reference that I added on Photoshop cause I don't know if Procreate can handle 3d models. Haven't checked. I used my iPad for this one cause I wanted to play with it's perspective feature.
Also, you know who will get a reference sheet next? Ian.
I just discovered there wasn't one While making this cause I couldn't find it. I actually thought I already had one but I guess I was thinking of Diego. Both being dogs and all.
…
On a completely unrelated note. I finally made public the first one of this comic series I've been doing and in Twitter it did incredibly well. It's actually funny, last night when I went to sleep it was flooping as I expected, and then it blew up over night. I felt like in that scene from The Life of Brian. I'm just commenting it cause now I kind of don't want to post the other ones. It's gonna feel even worst when those inevitably bomb. Lol
Just kidding.
