Hey there, boys and girls! It's me, Katnay, and I just came back from “The Zone™”
I think I had a moment there where every brush stroke was right at the first attempt.
I wanted to participate in the “Bikini + Big Pantz + Your OC!” challenge. And at first it was going to be a simple thing, no background, minimal shading. But you know good old me, always over doing the assignment.
For this one I used a more “accurate” lass cartoony than usual proportion for Diana. One of the reasons for that is that to nail the pose I use one of my art mannequins. I have two regular plastic ones that I had to change because one day I stared at them too hard and one broke. They were terribly made.
But for this I used one of the old fashioned wood ones. And it has regular proportions so that's why. That and because I decided to let the proportions like that because I liked it, of course.
And just to be clear, I didn't trace a photo of the mannequin. I did it the old fashioned way of putting the little guy next to my computer. Lol
I had been drawing Diana in a swimsuit a lot recently anyway, with the “Roast” Picture, and sketching the potential “Beach comic” (Oh wow! Is that a teaser?) and I like to think this one is related to those. At least in the sense that it is from the same trip the band made.
