Penelope Ref Sheet

I Finally got to make a reference sheet for the doll ^^

And I really have been wanting to work on this because this one has was something of a challenge due to the doll size. All the whisperers refs work with the same scale. That's why there's such an empty space on Nicole's one.

I liked the idea of making her very small on her ref but I wasn't completely sure of doing it like that cause then the ref could be hard to read.

So I did two versions. One with the actual scale Wich I think it's for fun more than anything. And other one that's for working with.

Also updated the team read to include her.

It's very funny in retrospective because when I came up with the doll for a comic she was just supposed to be a gag. I didn't really thought much about it at the moment but a couple of weeks after, when I posted it, the comic got a lot of attention. It is to this date my most popular piece featuring my OCs and not being a fanart of anything. But the more important thing is that a lot of people reacted feeling bad for or even rooting for the doll, and they got me thinking that it would be funny for the doll to survive, and even more, if they kept it.

So she lived and now she lives with Veronica and she's part of the team. Not all the time but often. Thay have to be discreet with stuff like that so she stays home for some missions.

I did the reference just now because I was waiting until I came up with a name I liked. I considered some and was recommended a couple but I decided on Penelope. It's a cute name for a doll Wich ends being kind of jarring as she's haunted and kind of old timey sounding. But also I decided on it because I had the song "Penelope by Joan Manuel Serrat" stuck on my head the other day. And it's a good song so it stays.

My second option was Dolly because I thought it would be kind of funny.

I haven't really decided a lot of details about her story. I know she liked to start fires in her first life. Went to hell when she died and managed to get back to earth through some weird accounting mistake.

Hell is a weird place and they have a bureaucratic class but only when Satan feels like. The rest of the time they have a Pachinko machine, a kid with a stick sitting in a rock or whatever he feels like in the moment.

In the part where I put the sexual preference of the characters I put "Doll" for her. In part it is a joke but it also has an in world explanation. Basically she was straight when she was alive but she now she is a doll and is still trying to figure out how that could work for her. Also hell changes people. It's not the first time I put some kind of joke on a character's preference on their ref but this is definitely the weirdest.

Another thing I've decided about her is that she is not of a baby doll type and her clothes are changeable so we could see her wearing different outfits in the future, depending on how willing are the whisperers to go tho the toy store for her.

Also even though her name is Penelope, the whisperers often will probably keep referring to her as doll. Especially Veronica. I'm even considering her keeping her name a secret at first but who knows.

There's a way for her to redeem her soul and gain heaven but for the moment she's just chilling on earth, Tasting food (Even though she doesn't have the need of ability to eat), listening music and just overall having a good time avoiding hell and hanging out with her new "friends". Even though she doesn't want to recognize she likes them, they know. Or at least Ignacio knows. Nicole has the suspicion.
