Night Walk.

Not set there, but in the center of Mexico city there's a street, Francisco I. Madero, that, since 2010 was made into a pedestrian street and it's often cited as one of the most beautiful streets in the country. 

This piece would take place in a very similar street, even though you can't really see a lot of it between all of the people there. That's the place that I had in mind when working on this.

Here are my OCs Zara and RJ together under a light summer rain trying to get lost in the sea of people so they are not seen. Maybe after a gig the band split and each one went on its way around downtown. Seing stores and such. and these two going on their separated ways knowing they'd found eachother in the crowd.

Fun fact, the Origin of Zara's oversized jacket (Wich when I originally designed the character was even bigger) was RJ. The idea was she wearing the jacket of her boyfriend but when I started posting about these guys I decided to keep that idea as a kind of secret. 

One of the reasons it's beacuse I wanted, in that moment to focus in the friendship and band angle of the concept. Tht other and sillier reason is beacuse in RJ's design I reused some visual elements of what back then was my bear "fursona" before I chaged it for the parrot. And it felt kind of odd, I even tried making RJ a polar bear but it didn't feel right. 

So I eventually decided that these two dating would be the worst kept secret ever. Both in their story and in my art. These two try to keep their relationship as a secret for the band, but with time pretty much everyone but Tony figures it out. And in my art I draw them togheter all the time. And it has worked kinda, there's been more than a couple of times when someone asks me if their together, and when this happens I always plead the fifth. One time someone in FA asked me while giving me their theory on their story (Wich I have yet to get into) and pretty much nailed like 95% of it. 

All of this just to say that I'm having a lot of fun sharing my oc stuff online, and at the end of the day, what are they for if not for that?

This piece I will make public in coming days or weeks mainly because of the twitter debacle. As no one relly knows for how long twitter will even be a thing. It could fall at any moment and I think it would really be a shame for my account to disappear without having posted a picture of these two together on it. After all it's where more people see my art at the end of the day.

Also I've chosen this picture of them together cause it seems to imply more that just show them being together. I like it, I have some more of them, (not a lot) that get more corny, or even spicier. There will be time for that later. I think.
