I think the most interesting part here are the tone/colors used. You can pretty easily notice the difference between how I usually do lights and shadow, and how I did it here. Like I said in the initial Dehya post, it's not a very strong contrast between the 3 (Shadow/Base Color/Light) and I think it is pretty interesting!
Concerning the technique, I think I found a way to get a smoother render, by just using masks!
I usually do smooth transitions by using lasso+eraser (with opacity), but it's pretty messy if you don't do it right from the get go. Masks are clearly underused in my workflow, even tho I really started working with them since the Morgana/Kayle commission (you can go check this one out if you want to learn more about it).
But yeah, in short, I just draw strokes in pixel, use mask with a smooth brush to erase it a bit (best examples being the upper body/shoes) . It's safer than just usual eraser!
