My New Normal Chapter 12

We arrived in town on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Police cars and fire trucks escorted our bus back to our highschool. We were greeted by more than a thousand people. Everyone was there. Chris missed my tournament because he was visiting Notre Dame this weekend for football recruitment.

As state champions we were greeted by the Lt. Governor, The Mayor, chief of police and Fire departments. The Lt. Governor gave us a nice welcome home and congratulations. So did our mayor. I searched frantically through the crowd for Chris!

I didn't see him, I was worried.

All of a sudden I was lifted off my feet! ee!! I squealed.

It was Chris.

Welcome back Champ! Chris said.

I kissed him deeply in a crowd of more than a thousand people. I wanted him so badly! But we'd have to wait!

Prom night

The three of us went to the salon, the same place where everything started for my journey here. We were pampered side by side together. I wore the Black mermaid dress my bought. I went commando with glossy nude stockings and garter belt. My mom helped me with my pedal bra.

Chris and guys picked us in rented stretched hummer limo. We were going out with a Bang this year!

Tammy and Mike Kurtz were named prom queen and king. They danced the first dance and opened the dance floor. It was another great evening. I was getting very amorous again. Chris knew it too!

After the Dance we picked up Chris's car and went to my house. My mom was out with Lynn, Courtney and Owen. They wouldn't be back until after 2 am. I took my clothes off while doing a little dance for Chris. It drove him crazy. I dropped to my knees and started unbuckling his pants while he took off his shirt.

His erection saluted me. I kissed the tip, teasing him with my tongue and lips. The tip of his cock was glistening with precum. It tasted sweet, I loved it. I pushed him backwards on the towel I laid on my bed. I brushed my breasts across hs chest and face. He kissed and suckled my nipples, that really got me hot!

Chris left at 1:45 am. I was very satisfied young woman. My senior prom ended just I hoped it would.

The following week I got an acceptance letter from Duke University, I was going to a Blue Devil! Chris got accepted across the street at North Carolina University. We were almost right across the street from each other.

Amy was going to Indiana University, Tammy was accepted at Purdue University.

Chris, Mike, Alex, Amy, Tammy and I all graduated with high honors.

The Pippen's threw a huge Graduation party for us girls. We had a great time. It was last time us thre girls all slept together before leaving for college.

Chris and I took our campus tours together. We both wanted to exactly where to go. Chris was in the Dental program at North Carolina University. I was in the Psychology Program at Duke. Our class schedules were very intense.

Our first semester was extremely busy. We spent Friday and Saturday night together. The rest of the time it was all about homework, and there was a lot of it.

Thanksgiving break Chris and I rented Airbnb house for the break. We studied a little, mostly we ravished each other. We couldn't get enough of each other. I was so happy he wasn't at another school and far away, I think he was to. During Christmas Break, Chris and I spent almost every minute with each other. With exception to Christmas Eve and Christmas day he practically lived at my house. My mom was surprisingly okay with it.

Spring semester wasn't much better either. Our class schedules were loaded up. I'm not sure how we made it, but we did.

Our first summer home from college Amy Tammy and I got jobs at Mrs Pippen's Tennis Club teaching tennis to children. The guys got jobs at Mr. Pippen's Men's club waiting tables and bartending. It was a very busy summer.

Two years later.

The six of us were still together by some miracle. I got an internship working for Doctor Reid. Chris was home too! He got an internship at a local Dentist as a Dental Hygienist. We spent a lot of time together. Chris was working as a trainer at their gym at night trying to save money. I took a job teaching tennis at the Tennis club. Amy and Tammy had internships out of town.

Chris and were madly in love with each other.

We talked about marriage quite a bit. He knew why I couldn't have children, he didn't care!

I have two older brothers he said. My parents are going to have plenty of grandchildren! He said.

Chris and I got an apartment together for our senior year of college. I loved having him all to myself. Our school schedule kept us busy, but not like the first year of college. Chris and I got jobs at local sports bar. I was a waitress and he was a bouncer/bartender. We made pretty good money between wages and tips. The waitresses all had to wear sports uniforms, they were skimpy too!

I saw Chris in action more than once throw a guy out. It was so cool to watch.

One night a guy kept grabbing at me. I ignored it! It happens all the time. They usually stop when I swat their hands, not this time.

Chris was cooling down a argument over a basketball game when I was grabbed forcefully and made to sit on a drunken customers lap.

No! I said loudly! He wouldn't stop. He kept grabbing my ass and skirt. I screamed again.

He grabbed my breast and covered my mouth. I stomped on his foot and he grabbed my neck. I almost passed out when he let go.

Chris came from behind us and wrapped his arm around his neck and pulled him backwards out of chair. The drunken man took a swing at Chris. Chris put him in an Arm bar and held him there until the police arrived and arrested him.

After work I was so hot for him! We made love for over two hours, my protector, my hero!

After that night no one harassed the waitresses again, at least not when he was working.

When we graduated I was able to attend Chris's walk and getting his degree. When my turn came Chris, his parents, my mom and Charlene and Liz came. I was so excited seeing them.

Look at you! I'm so proud of you! Charlene said.

Great job Donna! Liz said. I knew you would thrive! Liz said.

Your father would be so proud of you! Mom said. I'm so proud of you darling! She hugged the stuffing out of me.

What's next, Donna? Charlene asked.

Duke University for medical school! I said.

What are going to study? Charlene asked. Phsychiatry ! I said.

And you Chris? My mom asked.

Duke University for dental school!

We're staying the summer working and studying before school starts! I told them.

That's great! Liz said. Getting ahead on your school work is great idea.

It helped me! Charlene said.

I thought you were coming home? Chris's dad asked.

I was until I saw the work load! Sorry Dad. Besides several of our initial courses are the same. So we thought staying in a study routine we be a good idea!

Sounds like a good plan Chris! His mom said.

Thanks Mom! Chris said

Chris's father wasn't a big fan of us living together and not being engaged. Fortunately for us Chris's mother loves me. We never told them about our sex life, but that should have been obvious by now. We've been together for over 6 years.

We went to Mario's Grill for dinner. It was very nice Italian restaurant. We sat at a big round table together. We talked about our future plans with school. Liz told a couple stories about being in the Marines. Charlene talked about her career as a Psychiatrist and how rewarding it was helping people through the darkest times of their lives. My mom was working as a yoga and aerobics instructor now.

Charlie's mom was a dental hygienist and was so proud of Charlie going all the all to become an Oral surgeon. When it came to Charlie's dad turn he was a little disappointed he didn't go into the business program like he did.

I swear there was no pleasing him. He didn't hate me, on the contrary, he liked me, but he couldn't fully understand or accept our relationship. The only thing that made mildly acceptable was the fact we were still together.

I have say this! Charlie's dad exclaimed quietly. I respect both of you for being together for so long, I really do! But if you two are going to continue to living together, you need to be engaged!

Come on, Dad! It's the 21st century! We're in college, we work, we study, we stay out of trouble! Isn't that enough for now? Charlie stood his ground for us!

The boy is right, Lenny! Cut them a break! Chris's mother said. Besides they aren't children anymore!

I need to use the bathroom, excuse me! Chris got up and left, at the worst moment. I was now feeling very alone, Chris never walked away from a fight, ever! He never started one, he ended a lot of them! But here I am alone!

Those few minutes seemed like a eternity to me. I kept wondering why did he do that?

Charlie walked up behind my chair and touched my shoulder. He saw the worried look on my face. He squeezed my shoulder softly to comfort me. What came next shocked me to my core. He took a knee in front of me.

Donna Sinclair! I love you with all my heart! You are my soulmate, my best friend, my counsel! The first time I said I liked you was a lie, I was in love with you then! Since then nothing has changed. Will you marry me? Charlie asked.

YES! I squealed! Yes I'll marry you! I started crying!

Charlie slid the ring on my finger. It fit perfectly!

My mom rushed around the to hug me and Charlie.

Congratulations! Sweetheart! She kissed my cheek.

Charlie stood up and my mom hugged him and kissed his cheek.

I've always thought of you as a Son, Charlie! Mom said.

Chris's mother, Lorraine hugged us. Liz and Charlene hugged and congratulated us. Lenny sat quietly, dumbfounded, unsure about what he should say next. I realized at that moment, Charlie set him up! He was protecting me, like he always has. The only difference this time I was the bait! I didn't mind at all!

Lenny stood up, he smiled at us.

Well played, young man! Well played! I see you have been paying attention!

Just like like you taught me, Dad!

Come here son! They hugged I'm proud of you! Both of you! Come here Donna! Give your future father-in-law a hug! Lenny said.

We hugged tightly! It felt good, almost like my late father's hugs. It made me cry a little more, but it was a good cry! We celebrated with a bottle of champagne. I kept playing with my ring all evening. Now I had two rings on my fingers I was very proud of.

That very evening Charlie and I made love for hours. I was always adventurous in bed, but this night I took it up a notch. I didn't leave any part of his body unattended! He ravished me so much I could barely walk to the kitchen in our apartment.

The first three years of medical school wasn't just intense, it was murder! It was the single, most trying time of our life in school. The fourth year was little easier, but not by much. Having the same fundamentals helped. When we got our residency positions we barely saw each other. We'd go weeks without sleeping together. We were lucky if we had dinner once a week together.

If you want to test a relationship, try medical school!

Charlie finished his residency two years before I finished mine. If it wasn't for my mom and Charlie's parents helping us from time to time we wouldn't have made it.

After medical school was over. We both got jobs in Savannah, Georgia. I was working at a mental health center. Charlie was working for a local oral surgeon. We rented an apartment to save money. We made good money, but we had lot of debt.

Two years into my practice, Charlie and I started talking about getting married. Charlie's parents wanted a huge wedding with all bells a whistles. My mother couldn't afford it! She had enough to live on after my Dad passed away, she even invested well. But there was no way she could afford the kind of wedding Charlie's parents wanted.

Charlie and I couldn't afford it! Charlie and I decided to put off the wedding for another year.

Two weeks later

It's late August when I got a call from Courtney Pippen (Tammy's Mother).

Hi Courtney! How are you?

I'm great! Have you talked to Tammy lately?

Not in a few weeks! Why.?

Mike proposed to Tammy, this past Saturday. Anyway, your mother and I were talking after yoga class, she told me, you were thinking about eloping because of wedding cost.

That's true, we decided to wait another year.

I waa talking with Tammy and she suggested having a double wedding with you and Chris!

That sounds great! But we don't know if we could pay you back!

I wouldn't ask you to pay us back! She said. I talked to Tammy and we would love it if you and Chris would consider being a part of it!

We don't have any money! I said.

Donna Sinclair, I'm in your debt! Courtney said. Because of you, I have the daughter I always wanted! Owen and I never really apologized the way I should have. Let us give you the wedding you deserve!

Just a minute! I said.

Chris! I said loudly!

What's up? He asked.

Mike and Tammy are getting married and asked us to join them for a double wedding!

Donna,we don't have the money! He said.

Courtney said she'd take care of it! All we have to do is show up!

We're not a charity case, Donna. He said.

I know that! But the Pippen's and I have history, and she says she really wants to do this! Tammy and Mike love the idea! Please Chris! Please! You won't regret it! I promise!

Courtney, can I call you back tomorrow? I asked.

Sure but don't take to long I need to know so I can start setting things up! She said.

Tomorrow night at the latest! I swear!

Okay, Donna! I'll talk to you soon! Courtney said.

Chris was clearly upset. We both wanted to get married we both wanted a traditional church wedding. But we couldn't afford. We didn't even have enough to buy a house yet. We lived very economicly to payoff our student loans. We made decent money, but it wasn't great. We wanted to start our own practices, but we had a long way to go!

Chris, talk to me! I exclaimed softly.

It wasn't supposed to be like this! Chris said.

I know honey! I feel the same way! The opportunity will come! We just have to be ready! Like this one! I said.

We'll never be able to pay them back! Chris said firmly.

We don't have to! Mr and Mrs Pippen owe me big time! I said.

What are you talking about? He asked.

Chris we need to talk!

About? He asked.

My history with Tammy, it's a long story

I'm listening! Chris said.

As you know Tammy used to be Tommy, but what you don't know is Tommy was the biggest bully in grade school! I was his biggest target after my father died.

When my mother confronted Mr Pippen at Comic-con, he learned the truth about what Tommy had done to me and my petticoating! A few weeks later, my mother and I bumped into Tommy and his parents. Tommy was still a boy but he was dressed very androgynous. He was still very bratty and bullying to me. That's when Mrs Pippen decided to fully petticoat him.

He was made to quit all his boy sports, they got rid of his boy clothes. My mom and Courtney talked for hours about petticoating. Next thing I knew he was participating in most of my activities. Over time we became friends. I forgave Tammy a long time ago! I don't want you to hold it against her! We've been through a lot things over the years. She's had my back more than once.

Courtney said she would take care of everything! So you can see this is more about gratitude to us rather than charity! I said.

Why didn't you ever tell me? Chris asked.

It never came up! I let all that baggage go a long time ago. Long before we got together! I said.

When is the wedding? He asked

June! I said.

Well we better start saving for our honeymoon! Chris said.

I kissed him deeply.

I called Courtney back and hour later and accepted her generosity.

Don't worry about a thing I'll take care of everything with your mother! I'll call you when it's time for dress shopping! Tammy is going to be so excited! Courtney said!

I'm excited too! Thank you Courtney! This means a lot to us!

We love you sweetheart! We'll talk soon! Courtney said.

I love you too! I said.

I immediately called Amy and asked her to be my maid of honor. She accepted. I called Charlene, Christina, and Liz and asked them to be bridesmaids. They accepted.

I invited the entire dance team from highschool, my friends from the dance and yoga studios. Tammy and I all had the same friendship circle.

Mom reached out to our extended family, they declined to attend. While it broke my heart a little I wasn't surprised. They haven't talked to us since my father got sick and sold the farm. I was really hoping to see my cousins again, but I refused to let it ruin my day! I invited Dr Reid and Chandler to the wedding. In total I invited about 60 people, 45 accepted. Tammy and Mike had almost 300 people coming! Chris had about 100 coming.

As the wedding got closer, Chris, Mike, Tammy and I were talking all the time. Tammy and I took a trip to an Outlet mall outside of Chicago to a wedding store called Best Bride's. My mom and I spent over $4,000 on my dress, shoes. It was a two dress outfit for the wedding and the reception.

The wedding dress was very tight fitting white satin full length mermaid dress with lace embroidery throughout it. The train of the dress was long satin and lace. My reception dress was an above the knee mermaid dress with satin and lace ruffle on skirt and a deep V neckline and it was backless. I ordered white platform 7-inch spike heel stripper shoes.

I needed the extra high heels to better match up with Chris being nine inches taller than me. Plus I'd look better in the pictures being the shortest of my friends and bridesmaids. The bridesmaid dresses were floor length dresses featuring a ruffle design with spaghetti straps, built-in bra, cowl-neck, ruffled details, side slit that stopped just below the top of the thigh on the right, and a rhinestone accent at the waist. All in burgundy satin.

After the dress shop we went to downtown Chicago and spent the afternoon on Michigan Ave shopping and enjoying the city. Things here are a lot faster pace than Savannah, Georgia.

It was fun weekend in Chicago shopping with Courtney, my mom, Tammy and all of our friends.

Charlie had a Tuxedo made locally. It was little more expensive than off-the-rack. His muscular body didn't really fit well in most suits without serious alterations! Charlie still played football in a 7 man flag football league. Charlie even took tennis lessons so we could play together! (He wasn't nearly as good as I was, but I did my best not to embarrass him).

The month before our time off was supposed to start I received a referral from Dr Reid's office, new patient and parents. The parents were very distraught, their son was borderline suicidal. I blocked the entire afternoon off for the three of them.

The boy was 10 years old, his parents were in their early thirdies. I talked to them as a group first to get a sense of things, then each one individually. The parents couldn't get over how depressed their son was. He wouldn't hardly talk at all. His parents were concerned about finding Victoria Secret catalogs, lipgloss and pantyhose in his room. He was getting suspended from school for fighting all the time.

I talked to the boy alone for over two hours. The longer we talked, the more it felt like I was looking into a mirror of myself. He was small for his age and very skinny, almost to the point malnourished.

Jeremy, you can talk to me! I know exactly how you feel! I've been there! You can trust me!

But you're a woman! You couldn't possibly understand!

I wasn't always a woman, Jeremy! I was just like you when I was your age! I was bullied to the point of wanting to take my own life! With the help of a very good friend, Doctor Lancaster (Charlene) and Dr. Reid, I turned my whole life around. My mother didn't believe me at first. As time went by and I started therapy everything began to change. I met a girl in my dance class and we became friends, my first real friend.

Jeremy opened up and unloaded on me! I saw Jeremy and his parents four times a week including Saturday's until I left for my wedding. Jeremy had a gender identity disorder. It was compounded by being bullied all the time. The bullying he suffered was far worse than what I endured.

Jeremy was being bullied by boys and girls. He suffered minor injuries weekly without end. He had bruises, black eyes, blodly noses, and once a dislocated finger. He was even rushed to the Emergency room for almost being drowned in the toilet! I've delt with with some tough cases over the past couple years, but never one that touched me to my very core!

I had a month off for our wedding. I called Jeremy and his parents once a week while I was off. I think the only reason he was hanging on was because of me! Chris graciously gave me space during my calls. He wasn't a fan of my including work while we were getting ready to get married, but I told him enough about the patient that he understood.

I was always emotional after my calls with him. I refused to fall him. All of my patients needed my help, but none more than Jeremy. His parents were having a hard time dealing with his disorder.

The week before our wedding was a blizzard of activity and last minute checking and confirmations. My Mom , Lorraine and Courtney handled everything like professional wedding planners. We were getting married at The Pippen's Lutheran Church. Our Reception was at Hilton Hotel and conference center. We had a double ballroom opened up for all our guests. It was huge!

I have a surprise for you Donna! Courtney exclaimed.

You've done more than enough! I said.

Not quite! You and Chris will be joining Tammy and Mike on their honeymoon in Venice!

My old salon was overwhelmed with mother's two brides and 8 bridesmaids. Tammy and I got there an hour before everyone else. We had our veils woven into our hair, our nails done with French manicures and rhinestones. Courtney paid a Lady to come in and give use White Wedding Henna tattoos on our hands and forearms. Six hours after we entered the salon everyone was ready.

We had two limousines take us to the Church. Tammy and I were taken to the bridal room so the grooms wouldn't see us. The girls rotated in and out visiting with us until we were ready to start. I was really nervous about walking down the isle by myself. I wished my Dad was here. I started to weep a bit.

Tammy was walking first, then me. Just as Tammy's wedding March music started, Tammy's father looked at me and smiled.

Don't go anywhere! I'll be right back! Owen said.

You don't have to...

Donna your like a second daughter to us! There's no way you are walking down that isle alone! He said with a smile and confidence!

Thank you! I said almost blubbering!

We got your back, sister! Tammy said!

I love you, Tammy!

I love you! Let's get this party started! Tammy said.

Owen marched Tammy down the isle. Instead of sitting, he bowed to Courtney, winked at her and came straight back to me!

I was crying tears of joy and dabbing at my tears trying to preserve my makeup. It was one of the happiest moments of my life next to Chris's proposal. We marched down the isle together. He kissed my cheek the same way he kissed Tammy's! It felt very fatherly! He officially gave us away!

I was standing at the isle next to Chris everything was a blur. 45 minutes later we were husband and wife!

Tammy, Mike, Chris and I opened the dance floor with our first dance as husband and wife. Chris's father danced with me as father and daughter, he was so sweet now! My mom and danced together. Almost everyone we hung out with from highschool showed up. Our dance team and cheerleaders all danced together like we still in highschool! It was great!

The food was great, the DJ kept the party jumping until 1 am. I stopped dancing at midnight, my feet were killing me! Chris rubbed my feet before we went our suite.

Chris and I made love for over an hour before we colaspsed from exhaustion. The next morning the four of us flew to Italy for 10 days!
