Our football team crushed it Friday night at Homecoming Game! Our Dance routines were flawless! Amy and Tammy were having the time of their lives with their boyfriends. I wanted Chris very badly! I knew he felt it too!

My mom and Lynn watched Courtney, Amy, Tammy and I play doubles. We were getting really good. Tennis season wasn't until the spring time but we wanted to be ready! We were runner-ups last year and we had a good team returning.

The second to our last team match was really close were at their school. Tammy played the last set. The winner of the set meant a team victory.

Tammy made record 32 aces both doubles and single play!

The girl Tammy faced off against was last year's regional singles champion.

Tammy almost swept her without scoring in two sets shutting her down! She only scored twice in two sets. Tammy was on fire! She might be a girl now! But she played like a guy! We call her BJK Junior! As they were leaving the coaches came running outside.

What happened! The coaches asked.

We settled down for an hour ride home. This was the only match my mom missed. I was actually thankful for it!

Our last regular season match was just as tough as last week. Tammy proved to be able to lead by example. Amy and I had 12 aces! I had seven in a row. Amy had six. We played well together. Tammy had 31 aces! She couldn't miss! We won again! Undefeated for the regular season.

The state championship match was a week before prom! I was going to wear blue dress again but mom insisted on this black knee high mermaid dress she had her eye on. It hung four inches above my knees. It came fingerless gloves. It had very low neckline. With my cutlets I had a very nice showing of cleavage!

The State Tennis Tournament!

It was an entire weekend of tennis. 12 teams, 3 of them we already defeated. The current state champions were back as well. They were undefeated as well. We were rated number one in our bracket.

Our first matches should have been a breeze, but everyone came to play! We were ready. The tournament was just another test for us like the rest of the year! We played with the same determination we played with all year.

Amy and I lost one set out four sperate matches. Tammy was hitting Aces like a machine. She had 18 aces in a single match. We kept advancing through our bracket and so did the other number one teams. By the end of the second day there was four teams left! All number one seat teams.

Anitasia and her team were looking really good! They made it to the finals beating last year's champs. It gave me some pause. I figured it was time for a little psychological warfare!

I walked past Anitasia and she glared at me and said, bitch you're going down!

Don't charge the ball too hard, your fat ass might trip! I'd hate to that fat ass get exposed like the last time!

We made the finals. We had a two hour intermission.

We spent the entire two hours preparing for our last big game together. Four long years of highschool tennis came down to just a couple hours of play time left. Our first doubles team won in three sets.

Amy and I watched as the first singles match squared off.

Karly was really good! Her opponent was an equal match. They each one a set by match point. The third set was a lot of volleying back and forth. Karly had a wicked backhand. Her opponent Missy almost scored until Karly caught the ball in her racket and rocketed the ball back catching the far corner of the court. Karly won 40 to 30!

Amy and I were next. I aced all my serves in first set. Amy did too! 40-15. The second set was the opposite we lost 30-40. Our last was crunch time. I was getting ready to serve when I heard take it! Crush it! I looked into the crowd. Charlene was sitting with my mom!

Ace it! Amy said

I took a long deep breath. I focused on the corner of the court. This for you Charlene!

Bam! I felt the racket strike the ball perfectly. Ace! The other team served Amy caught the the inner court by line. Our serve. Amy scored an Ace. We volleyed back and forth four times and sent a soft backhand just over the net. Our serve. I served again, Ace! 40-0!

Tammy was playing Anitasia.

Everything rode on this game. The score being total amount scored it was closer than you think. Tammy had to win both sets to secure our championship. Tammy loves crunch time! She never choked. Her brother was a born athlete! Her mother was a former champion. She was born for this!

9 years ago I wanted her dead! Now I was her biggest supporter! Life sure is funny!

Tammy began her service Ace! Anitasia served. Bam! Back in face! Tammy aced another serve. First set all Tammy. Second set Anitasia. Last set Tammy Ace! Anitasia served, out! Tammy aced it again. Anitasia was frustrated. Next serve was out. Tammy was ready. Anitasia was focused on the ball. Tammy served. Anitasia sent the ball to the far corner. Tammy backhanded it. The dropped in middle of the court on Anitasia's caught the ball. She dropped the ball short. Tammy saw it coming and smashed it crushed past Anitasia. She didn't have a chance to touch it.

The crowd cheering for the great play. One serve left Anitasia was ready for it! Tammy served.

Anitasia caught a piece of it the ball went out of bounds and the game was over!

We were state champions! This was every bit as good as that warm feeling I carried with me. Charlene and my mother hugged me! I kissed Charlene's cheek!

I'm so proud of you! Charlene said. I knew you were a fighter! I was right! Look at you! Charlene beamed at me with warmth and pride.

It because of you I'm here! Thank you for saving me! I said.

My mom cried! I cried. . I felt more than victorious! I felt accomplished!
