Hi all! I'm still working hard on the core gameplay systems; sweeping changes to the balance and overall game flow are on the way. All good things, but they're taking time to get right. I've completed a few rounds of bug fixes/general polish tasks and a big Unity update, so I'm releasing them as an interim build for newer players. Hey everyone,
We've hit another pretty big milestone for the game's development; the base UI framework is now finished. We're really happy with the way it looks and feels, and there is so much further we can take it. The tooltip system will serve as an interactive tutorial and an easy way for players to get the information they need in-game. We're especially excited for the next stage of development, as the UI will allow us to add deeper gameplay content, polish and characters!

Happy August! We've got another fresh build ready to play with new Charm encounters, an expanded and more replayable map, and our Charm mechanic's first iteration. We wanted to get our Charm mechanic's first iteration into your hands as soon as possible, so any and all feedback is appreciated. What are we working on?
We're already hammering away at improvements for 0.4.0, getting combat VFX and audio set up, as well as general game-feel improvements. We're also aiming for at least one extra enemy charm encounter and to bring our first NPC encounter back into the game.

What are we working on?
All core features, except the shop and card upgrades, are now implemented. We've finally moved into our new environment, and the game is now playable from start to finish. It's already both hot and FUN! We're still working on final content (enemies, animations, quest encounters) and which class/deck to ship first. What are we working on?
Our master female character rig is now in a production-ready state! This is a massive milestone for us as it enables us to create the dozens of characters we require for our core gameplay. We'll be giving it a test run in May's Early Access build with a brand new girl arriving on the island.

May's Early Access build is looking to be ready in one to two weeks, with General Access to follow two weeks later :)

Our current focus is on developing the character rigs and systems to a complete state. This will allow us to have the flexibility to create a huge variety of animations and new characters which are integral to developing our core gameplay systems. This is a massive task, however, we are making great progress and can see the improvements already in effect in our most recent animation with Luna and Gromnir.

We have a big content update for you all this time. Key features are the unlocking of all the existing female characters, a new Orc NPC including dynamic animations with said females, as well as numerous gameplay flow improvements and optimizations. Our build this week includes the first implementation of our Monster Charming mechanic, featuring Aeryn and two rogue Orcs. You can access the encounter by speaking to Aeryn once you've completed her first quest. This mechanic is in very early stages but we're excited to show our work and get your feedback as we continue to flesh it out along with the RPG mechanics that it will interface with!

We've finished the initial implementation of the explore mode. Explore mode is the backbone for the game's combat and progression. There are multiple paths through each explore mode "dungeon", with each node in a path representing one of many possible unique encounters with potential friends and foes.
