School of Lust v0.2.2 Progress Report (July)

Hi everyone!

It has been a while since our last progress report, as we've had a "bit" of a setback the past week or two. We were waiting to resolve the issue, before posting a new progress report for School of Lust, so this short post will be about what happened and what took so long to resolve the issue.

School of Lust is (as far as we know) the first game to ever implement native animation technology (Live2D) with our game engine (RMMV). The problem we were having was that, as we've hired a new artist to help us with the animations for certain H-scenes, his work was not compatible with our heavily modified game engine. As stupid as we are, we did not test the animations right away either, as we expected it to work (although it wouldn't have made a difference, as the artist only works with the newer animation technology). Exporting the animations for an older build did not resolve the issue either, so we ended up having to modify the game engine again, which is what took this long to resolve.

Now that the issue has been resolved, we're working non-stop to implement the new animations and release the new update as soon as possible. We're only a few tasks away from releasing the beta, so we're going all out to do our best to release the new update before the end of the month.
