We did see what actually happened when Andrew killed Jonathan earlier in the season, but this is a great commentary on how we all adjust things in our mind to make it easier to live with the things we've done. Also, the pig Robin hopes isn't a student was the same one Andrew got because Jonathan was small and didn't have enough blood to open the seal. But he couldn't catch the pig and kill it, so he went to buy blood from the butcher where Willow found him. Turns out the pig was still down there running around. Lol

2025-09-13 21:56:27 +0000 UTCI love this episode! Tom Lenk is a fun actor but in this episode he gets to show his depth too. It's really interesting when you rewatch all of Buffy after this episode, because you feel different about Andrew when the trio shows up. Don't get me wrong, he is a weasel. But it also shows he has heart and his motivation is to find people who accept him and believe in him.

2025-09-13 20:23:09 +0000 UTCTo be honest when it started I thought “oh yeah…the Andrew filler episode…🙄” but was better than I remembered rewatching it. It did have moments and moved the story forward. Not the best episode but is a little gem of why the shows style changes at times and isn’t afraid to take chances and still use it to move the story forward well. Their best example is the musical episode…lotta stuff bubbling up for all the characters that ya knew it was gonna all hit the fan. So they had it all happen during a musical episode but it all worked and made sense in the episode as the singing demon made all their emotions come to a head and confess and confront their issues.

Sometimes I would like to make comments more insightful or wise, but my poor English stop me. But I totally agree with your final thoughts and you leave me thinking a lot about a lot of things. And it's wonderful, because when I first watched the show when I was young, I didn't have the chance to share thoughts or comments with anyone and now I can feel that finally I have friends here to do it.
