My sincere condolences to Michelle's family and friends, and to all the other fans here in this community who are saddened to hear about this like me. It's been such a joy for me seeing her talent and creative spark onscreen throughout Buffy, and to pass away at such a young age with so much more life ahead of her makes this loss even heavier.
Please remember to not only be kind to all those mourning this loss, but also to tell the people close to you that you love and appreciate them before it's too late.
I hope that Michelle knows how much she was loved, and that her talent and generosity will live on through her tremendous work, impact, creativity, and of course in our memory.
Rest in Peace to our little Dawn

I don't think anyone is trying to sensationalize the issue by saying that, but rather to commiserate and mourn the terrible loss of someone who brought real joy in our lives and tragically had her life cut short

2025-02-28 17:23:08 +0000 UTCIt's truly horrible news, she was so young. It's already hard watching Angel knowing Glen Quinn and Andy Hallet are no longer with us now Michelle. I loved Harriet the Spy as a kid before Buffy. Michelle put in some great performances on Buffy. Prayers to her family, including SMG who knew her from their soap opera days and wanted her as Buffy’s sister because they were so close.

And we were both born in 1985 (I’m only 10 months older than her). I can’t imagine the sorrow her friends and family are going through. Keeping them, and my fellow Buffy fans, close in my heart at this time. Rest In Peace, little slayer sis.

They've been sharing their favorite Dawn moments in one of the channels, though we're trying to discourage them from actually discussing her mental/physical health out of respect for her parents want for privacy, not that it's our place to judge or speculate either way. I remember seeing her on The Adventures of Pete & Pete and Harriet the Spy before anything else. We'll be starting S5 soon, so it's gonna be a little weird knowing she's not around anymore. R.I.P. Michelle ♥
