I agree with you Michael. And what in the world did Willow do with all that Insurance money? Beneficiaries are not responsible for paying peoples debts and money left to a beneficiary does not go to probate, it’s kept separate from a persons estate so why did they pay off the hospital bills with it? And the house was losing value so why throw money at it? , Also it wasn’t like it was a lifelong sentimental home. With Dawn being under 18, her money should’ve went into a trust or custodian account. For Willow to go through it like that really irked me.

Michael Smith Willow was raising Buffy's teen sister for the 4 months while Buffy was dead. She and Tara didn't even discuss having a baby, and suddenly they had a teenager to take care of. Maybe it's kinda fair that she gets to now only partially help out while studying.

this episode shocked me - i only found out about it last year thanks to "You Should Watch Buffy Season 6" by Sarah Z who also hates Riley....... and she hates this episode. I somehow missed this episode completely back in late 2000s when I actively watched the show for real. I thought
Riley never showed up again...! ... so weird they did this. As for Spike, I'm not sure she felt loved exactly, not by him...desired,
maybe,sure..

It will forever piss me off that Willow doesn’t work to help Buffy out! I know she’s in school but hell I worked throughout college.

Did you notice that Buffy called Spike by his real name at the end? Great detail.

There is an essay called "Captain Cardboard, or How I Learned To Stop Seething And Love "As You Were", which theorizes that Riley saw Buffy and Spike together in the front yard and hatched a scheme to make her see reason. It makes so much sense. If for no other reason than: do we actually think that Spike is an international arms dealer who made a ton of money off this one deal alone? Would someone, who has the connections to make deals with world governments and has surely done this multiple times to gain any semblance of trust, not know how to preserve the eggs they're selling? And why wasn't Riley surprised to find them together?
And it goes along with my theory this season that Buffy doesn't want to think about things any deeper than what's presented to her. She chose to believe she killed Katrina rather than question what happened in that fight. In this episode, she asked the question, but when she saw the eggs it was so much easier to believe without looking any deeper. And it gives her a stronger reason to stay away from Spike.
It might be completely wrong, but I've come to believe this was what the writers intended. I enjoy the episode so much more believing it lol. It makes all the plotholes and weird movements of the characters feel like there was a reason for it all. So even if it wasn't intentional, I prefer it.

I think the reason why Buffy doesn't tell Riley that she ran to the Helicopter to stop him was that she knew it wouldn't change anything. He is happily married now. And maybe it would make him feel like regretting things.

I really feel bad for Spike. Maybe the writers realized that the relationship between him and Buffy was going too well, despite the "evilness". Buffy felt loved and desired, and sometimes, that can be a powerful reason to be with someone and ignore his faults.
The picture of Angel and Spike having a drink is so funny!
Sorry but I still hate Riley (hahaha). It's not fair that he appears like that, with his perfect life and wonderful wife, specially when it seems like all is going down for Buffy and from bad to worse every day.
I enjoyed a lot this reaction and love all the final comments. Thanks!! See you in the next one.
