Guess my favorite "Buffyverse" Character

#3 is Spike: By far my favorite episode is "Fool for Love", especially seeing him before he ever turned. Has some great moments with Angel & Dru in early seasons, he's amazing in every scene with Joyce, and falling in love with Buffy is a fantastic turn for his character.
#2 is Drusilla: Yes she has very limited screen time, but I don't think any other character is as exciting to see and memorable every single time she shows up. The "crazy villain" character is done in millions of shows, but Juliet Landau pulls it off not only convincingly, but with unmatched style and charisma. Her tragic origin story is just the cherry on top.
#1 is Darla: This was unexpected even for me, especially compared to my rankings from earlier seasons. But I just think that she is hands down my favorite antagonist, and Julie Benz gives in my opinion the strongest performance across both shows. I can't think of many fictional characters who are so complex and dynamic: she can be just as easily be charming and tragic as she can be sadistic and terrifying. Plus her doomed love-hate relationship with Angel/ Angelus is both electric and heart-breaking.
My favorite quote is probably: "...no matter how good a boy you are, God doesn't want you! But I still do."
What can I say, I guess I love the evil ones...
My runner-ups: Cordelia, Giles, and Harmony.
It's always a tough call, but at this point in both shows (taking into consideration earlier seasons too of course), who is my favorite character in the show, if absolutely forced to choose? Principal Snyder is not an option as that would just make this way too easy.
I will comment my choice later, although it is EXTREMELY difficult.
Just FYI there's so many characters and a limited amount of options, I know I left a few out I wanted to include such as Jenny, Kate, and the Mayor. I might have forgotten a few others. Not you, Adam, I left you off on purpose.
I just looked and realized that Angel might go Angelus on me after reading this poll... that was not intentional, and he is actually higher than at least 60% of the list but uh... sorry dude not #1

Darla is an interesting pick because I don't really see it among the reaction community. But a lot of people don't appreciate all the changes she goes through, culminating in a state of redemption with her self-sacrifice. Though some people like Julie Benz from her Dexter role and are happy to see her on Angel.

I believe she has the most canonical deaths of any other character in the Buffyverse, having died 4 times. She was killed by the Master to become a vampire, staked by Angel, resurrected and then killed by Drusilla, and then finally she staked herself after giving birth.
