It's funny that you mention self-titled TV shows as I recently started watching Roseanne on Peacock and think it's right up your alley. It's very groundbreaking as far as the topics discussed and representation. It's also where a lot of talent was early in their career. Joss Whedon (Buffy/Angel) and Chuck Lorre (TBBT) as writer and producer come to mind. Roseanne herself is quite controversial in some fairly terrible ways but the rest of the cast is beyond outstanding. Laurie Metcalf (Sheldon's Mom) plays Roseanne's sister and is brilliant.

You'v never seen Seinfeld?! You don't know what you're missing. Anyway I loved the focus on Cordy that even included Doyle and Dennis. Cordy joins Buffy in the horrible birthday club. Even though Cordy was rich without the visions it kinda reminded of Helpless when Buffy didn't know who she'd be without Slayer strength. One way or another the visions are a part of Cordelia for a while and she even cared more about the girl in her vision than herself. She is a Champion to me.

"It's Garry Shandling's Show" starring Garry Shandling as Garry Shandling (who knows that he is the main character in his own sitcom) ran from 1986 to 1990 on Showtime. Meta before meta was a thing. Pretty funny for its time.

Thanks for this reaction and your final comments. Yes, it's the same guy who was the guardian in hell of that mysoginistic guy that Angel got free to help Cordy with her painful visions. I think he was really cool and funny in the other episode. In this one, he is not that funny. Totally hate "the powers that be". I really don't understand what are they for. Sometimes I think that they are supposed to be "good", because the visions helps to rescue someone. But their methods are so questionable, that I think that they are more evil than good.
I'm not happy with the course of the relationship between Angel & Cordy is going now. They are so good as friends and I love how they take care of each other without any romantic implications. Sometimes, to ruin a good friendship, just ad romance. In my opinion, friends last longer than lovers.
