I understand why they did it because the actor needed time away from the show, but in terms of Giles' character, I don't think it's something he would do because it doesn't make sense. She's only 20 or 21, she's lost her mom, she's just DIED, she has a sister and household to take care of, there's nothing wrong with needing a little parental support right now!

Your analysis of Willow and Tara's relationship and Spike and Buffy's whatever they got goin on right now is spot on in my opinion.

So in case anyone else had a wtf moment as well, Allen Funt was the producer of an old hidden camera prank show called Candid Camera. I watched as a kid, but I never knew the guy's name lol

2024-06-27 20:14:06 +0000 UTCDid you notice that Spike is wearing the same suit as he did in Restless on the swings when he says he's learning to be a Watcher??? This is one of my top 3 favorite episodes of this season and I really loved your reaction. The humor in this episode (everything from Joan [of Arc] the superhero to Anya pronouncing her own name incorrectly and then everyone doing it to the way Xander repeatedly screams like a girl and flails about to the brilliant duo of Anya/Giles to the father/son dynamic of Giles/Randy were pitch perfect. The moments of heartbreak are equally well done, especially the when we go from the gleeful hero Joan to the devastated lost Buffy in seconds, played beautifully by SMH in a look.
