Especially the character development over the years. And I always found more of myself in the TBBT crew than in the Friends group. So I would totally be up for more Big Bang. Also, I would absolutely watch Battlestar Galactica with you. :)

It's one of my top 5 sitcoms (along with Friends and HIMYM - which I definitely recommend reacting to down the road!) and it just gets better and better. The cast is so great and the guest stars and cameos are fantastic and just gets better and better as the show goes on. I also absolutely adore the theme song and have to sing along every time (it's done by the guys from Barenaked Ladies). Also the show creator, Chuck Lorre, does this cool thing where he writes a note on the production card at the very end of the credits and they can be random or hilarious or both but I always pause to read them. Oh, and the show started back in 2007. And yes, you should definitely react to Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009) someday because it's amazing!

2024-05-29 02:46:40 +0000 UTCHIGHLY recommend the UK shows ‘An Idiot Abroad’, ‘Derek’ and ‘The Inbetweeners’. US shows…well I needn’t say it, but STRANGER THINGS! I’m guessing you’ve likely watched all that though, but if Quynh hasn’t perhaps, then they would make incredible reactions. ‘Mike & Molly’ is so funny…it’s amazing! Again, it’s up there with this for me! ‘Bates Motel’……you have to watch this! It’s incredible. You’d love it, after watching Psycho the other week. Norma Bates is alive and it’s about her and a teenage Norman. I’d love to see you and Quynh react to Titanic (I know you reacted before but not with Quynh and I think she’d love it so much!’. Probably cry. ‘Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe’ is one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever seen. ‘Benny and Joon’ (has a similar feel to Gilbert Grape but soooooo amazing too…it’s such a beautiful movie and has Johnny Depp too! You and Quynh should absolutely watch ‘Red Dragon’ and ‘Hannibal’ (the movie Hannibal, not the show)…after you both loved Silence of the Lambs these two are perfect. Again, Anthony Hopkins stars. Red Dragon is pre SotL, Hannibal is post SotL after his escape! Also if you like reading, the books are incredible. SotL is the best book I’ve ever read. The Green Mile movie too, if you haven’t reacted to it yet. And you and Quynh should definitely watch the first two American Pie Movies. They are hilarious and you will love them. The first is a 90s classic and was groundbreaking at the time it came out. Fatal Attraction is amazing too. A great thriller. Seven and The Bone Collector are both perfection. Very much a similar feel to SotL. I’d most definitely stick with Big Bang. It gets better and better, and there’s a reason it’s so successful and ran for so long. Once you get the hang of the characters’ personalities etc, it’s one of the best comedy shows made. That’s all my recommendations at the moment. I know it’s a lot but you asked and I figured I’d give you a good few in case any were on your radar and you were undecided, or if they are ones you’d not yet considered. Thank you so much for making my day. I think you guys are so special and you both react in such an open-minded, gentle, and honest way, and I love to see you both laughing. It makes me happy. I would love it if you continued reacting to it but maybe as Friends winds down (you are already almost through Season 7) and there are just three more seasons to go, maybe you could add another show as well, such as Seinfeld or HIMYM for those who aren't fans of TBBT.

Both are hilarious. Please try them on for size like you did Big Bang and I think you'll find the right one for you.

I wouldn't watch HIMYM or Seinfeld (I've tried in the past), and I couldn't deal with Friends after a few episodes and hadn't been watching. But I sure don't mind that others loved Friends and were watching every time it posted! It's not hating to not like certain shows and not watch them; we just have to remember that each show has its fanbase, and there are fans of TBBT in Nick's Patreon. I'm happy because a show I wouldn't watch is being possibly replaced by one that I will, yet I understand that's not going to make everyone happy. (For the record, I watched every season of Friends when it first aired, but I no longer enjoy it in this era and at my present age. My tastes definitely changed, lol!)

2024-05-28 22:20:57 +0000 UTCWhile there is definite cringe in the early episodes, especially with Howard, it does keep improving. For me, it's not only funny but holds a deep nostalgia. It was one of my mom's favorite shows, but because she had no knowledge of sci-fi pop culture, I had to explain every reference to Star Wars, Star Trek, superheroes, etc. Yet, she absolutely adored this show, and Sheldon in particular. Proof that this show could even appeal to 60-something-year-old grandmothers who didn't have a background in science or a foot in any geekdom. For those of us who *do* enjoy either science or sci-fi, or both, there are many, many references with which to tickle our funny bones as the series progresses. I feel the show is sharply written, and while some of it is cringe to us now, it is a piece of its original era. Also, the science is quite accurate; they had a physics professor on set who checked the accuracy and even any equations like what we saw on the boys' whiteboards. Kaley Cuoco, who played Penny, was notorious on set for having great difficulty in holding back laughter during scenes. There are times you can actually see that they kept it in the show, like when she was in the back of the car and Howard started singing. That was genuine Kaley trying to hold back laughter.

But i was hoping for something different... i think the big bang theory is cheesy and bad. was hoping he would watch something like "How i met your mother" , "Seinfeld", "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" or "Curb Your Enthusiasm". I really love Nicks reactions but i cant watch BBT... but i really hope u guys and Nick enjoy it... my intentions is not to be a hater, hope no one takes it as that.... i will ofc continue to watch friends, angel and buffy.
