Yes, I would imagine that all the singing was pre-recorded, but it is Judy Garland's real voice, and I think this is the movie that shot her into stardom.

One of my fave theatre shows is "Wicked," which you should totally go and see if you get chance (and if you like musical theatre). Its a sort of retelling of this story but from the perspective of the wicked witch
