i get it. writing-wise it's consistent - Rachel just broke up with Bruce Willis and in the last episode of season 6, she and Phoebe were both worried about never finding love. So in-universe, this is just a few minutes/hours later. She's "the least jealous she's ever been" but then she goes get dressed and feels sad again. But yeah, for the sake of the plot and comedy, she and Phoebe kinda make the plot about themselves.

The way the others act in that episode annoys me so much. They know how much this means to Monica. She‘s been talking about this since forever. And yet she can‘t even have one night where it‘s about her and Chandler instead of Ross/Rachel or Phoebe‘s singing.
