What comes after Handpanuary?

Dear Patrons,

Thank you so much for your continued support this month, it has been an incredible journey so far and I can't believe it will be over in just a few days...

Those of you who joined in through the WhatsApp group, wow, what a beautiful community you have created. You are all amazing!

But it doesn't stop here... I want to keep this community together, I want to keep holding each other accountable for maintaining a regular practice and supporting each other. So I've...

You guys rock!

Hey folks,

I've been reflecting a lot on this past year, at the end of 2025 I had the opportunity to really dive back through my memories of the year in an interview with Phil Begnett. So many festivals, so many workshops, sooo much travelling and a whole heap of laughter, hugs, smiles and tears. I got to meet a lot of you, and I really felt held by the handpan community.

I'm so grateful for the opportunities I was given last year. Just a few highlights include:

All Notation - HANDPANUARY 2025

Happy Handpanuary everyone!

This month here on Youtube and Patreon, the format is changing up. No weekly tutorials I'm afraid... instead... DAILY!

I've attached notation here for all 30 days of the handpanuary challenge. Here you will find patterns for the following handpan scales:

D Kurd, E Amara, F Low Pygmy, C# Pygmy and E Sabye. Each pattern is named and has a corresponding YouTube video (which if you're browsing at the beginning of the month won't all be uploaded yet)...

Hey folks,

Happy handpan Friday!

I'm back from this big chunk of tour, visiting family, landing landing, and excited to get back in the studio proper next week. Here's another paradiddle tutorial - what can I say, I'm a fan - and if you have any requests before I film the next batch of videos next week... let me know!

Hugs hugs,

Full Concert - Medicine Music

Myself, Jenna Sommers and Sarah Paz Hyde got together last weekend to offer an acupuncture and medicine music session. Jenna, a licensed acupuncturist placed the needles around the group before joining us for 4 songs, then as we wrapped up, she removed the needles and we proceeded with a sharing and song circle.

It was like no event I've ever been a part of and I LOVED it.

Anyway, I wanted to share the recording of the 4 songs with you all.

Unreleased Recording - I Am Held - Live at SuperBloom

Hi dear patrons,

I wanted to share this very very special memory with you. Taken from my live concert at SuperBloom Women's Handpan Gathering.

I was such a precious, life-changing weekend that we shared together, and this moment really feels like it encapsulates that.

This was the first time I have sung this song, having written it just before I left for the US about a month ago. We sang together in a yurt, unplugged, unjudged, full of love. Honestly, it felt like a dream...

WNY rehearsal - the earth teaches

Just a wee glimpse of rehearsal between classes while at the wild naya handpan academy this year. Oohhh my goodness what a beautiful week it was! To be living in community with my peers, role models, friends and students for a whole 7 days was such a blessing.

Here you can see me, Rosie and Lea prepping for a collaboration during my concert, while Haru waits on the bed behind for us to finish so he can give me a tattoo! I had no idea that Kerstin - holding the camera here - had snuck ...

Notation: Chords + Groove from today's YouTube tutorial

Hi folks,

I have some bonus notation for you this week!

I would love to be able to offer notation for every YouTube tutorial I make, but at the moment I don't have capacity / funds. Eventually though, as your support builds and views on the channel increase, I will be able to put more energy towards this!

For now, here's one that I thought would be super useful!

This breakdown is taken from a chord progression and groove that featured in an old video. A student req...

Aurora Australis and being ill on the road

Hey gang!

How's everyone doing?

I'm coming up to the end of this big ol' leg of tour together with Rosie Bergonzi. We've just landed in LA ready for Pantasia handpan gathering this weekend, and then it's time for home. After almost 2 months on the road, I feel ready.

These two photos were taken over two days at Kiwipan Festival over in New Zealand last weekend. My goodness what a beautiful celebration of music it was! And such an incredible experience to see the southern...

BTS: new single coming April

Here's a completely unedited look at what filming an overhead angle looks like. Complete with shoes and mess haha.

This is me jamming along to a track I made in collaboration with electronic artist Entangled Mind. The handpan tune is actually the FIRST composition I ever wrote for the handpan almost 10 years ago now, but it never made it into an album or was officially released anywhere. I was so thrilled when it made it's way into our collaboration 2 years ago, and so excited to finall...

Stepping out of comfort zones...

I recently asked for the help of two wonderful humans to develop my music in new ways. The first, Uwe, is a producer based in Berlin who's studio I am visiting here. The second, you might recognize his name, is David Kuckhermann, who connected the two of us and has also been an important part of this process.

Together the three of us tweaked lyrics, explored new chord progressions, developed the chorus, and gave a whole new arrangement to one of my songs. It's quite different. I'm exci...

Handpan and Synths Playground

I went to see Hania Rani in concert the other night, and came back inspired to pick up this little synthesiser I bought during lockdown but never fully learned how to utilise.

It's an Arturia Microfreak, and it has lots of potential!

I don't think I'll be releasing in official music with it any time soon haha. But thought I'd share some play arounds with you guys :)

Happy March! I hope you're doing well 💚

Handpanuary week 4 has begun. Welcome back!

Just a quick note: I've lost the notation file due to a technical fault and will have to remake it. Which as you can imagine, is quite a time consuming job. I will try to have it with you all tonight or tomorrow.

In the meantime, I hope you're enjoying the previous weeks, and can enjoy today's video while you wait.

Handpanuary Week 3 Notation Booklet

Here we gooo, time for week 3!

I can't believe we're here already. How is your handpanuary going so far?

Your notation booklet is attached for all of this week's videos.

Please note! Two of the videos this week are very much technique focussed and lend themselves more to watching the video, rather than learning any set patterns, and so notation will not appear for them.

We've had a very pattern heavy week last week, this week takes a little bit of a breath. aaahhh... ð...
