Agreed, Atonement is a work of art.

2023-12-07 01:12:45 +0000 UTCOn the subject of Joe Wright, one of his films that you seriously need to react to if you haven't already seen it - "Atonement". One of my all-time favorite movies with some iconic scenes and costumes, great actors giving stellar performances, and which truly stays with you long after you've finished watching it. IMHO it is by far Wright's best film.

Mr. Darcy on the other hand would earn about $1.2 million per year. However, this is just pure numbers. If you account for GDP per capita, and other cost of living changes the real figures are closer to $27.7 million per year for Darcy and Bingley would be about $8 million. It's difficult to put these numbers into todays terms because different items and skills held more or less value than they do today, but hopefully this gives some idea as to their wealth.
