I enjoy this movie; I'm looking forward to the sequel (which has the exact title I thought it should have back in 2007!) You should check out the music video for "Ever After" by Carrie Underwood. They had fun with it.

2022-11-14 02:40:38 +0000 UTCAh, I just finished this. I'm so glad you felt the disney magic in this too and that you appreciated all the jokes (especially the prince. He’s just so extra!). I laughed so much and not just at the crazy scenarios but at your perspective as well. Like that scene when the couple gets back together… Me: “Aww, they look so in love!” Thor: “No way. That’s what it took to get them back together? This is the true fairytale of the movie. Never happening.” Oh. My. Gosh 😂😂😂…Yeah,…thanks for that Thor! haha Also, I wanted to shout out the song “So Close” used at the ball. It was written by Alan Menken who wrote a lot of the classic disney music (like for The Little Mermaid etc). I love that song so much, especially the lyrics in conjunction to Giselle and Robert dancing closely and then separating. The irony and bittersweetness of the lyrics “So close, so close and still so far.” I always found the double meaning of those words really beautiful (both their physical closeness and the hope of true love in that moment). Anyway, this was such a fun reaction, thank you so much! PS: Nancy was played by “Adele Dazeem” AND Fyi, Amy Adams played Princess Giselle, not Princess Anastasia hahaha (I know that film has has been seared into your memory forever but it’s Giselle from the land of Andalasia!) ;)
