Also it was so SMART to have Angel be the one to try to talk to Faith. Someone with a conscience who has killed & knows what it’s like to live with the consequences, the guilt. The writing for Season 3 is bloody brilliant.

It’s really masterful writing how they’ve created 3 vastly individual slayers. I just love how Buffy & Faith view being a slayer differently. Even to Kendra who was the perfect student & revered being a slayer.
- To Faith it’s a power trip. It fuels her fire. She gets off on it. Like it’s her god given right. The rules don’t apply. Faith answers to no one. It’s nothing but fun & a wild ride. It’s so intoxicating that it tempts her over to the dark side.
- For Buffy it really is a calling; a duty. I don’t think she likes nor hates it. While sure sometimes she wishes she could be a normal girl, not once does Buffy not take her role seriously. She understands the cost & sacrifice to being the slayer.
Honestly I applaud the way they integrated Faith in Season 3!
