Book Reviews??
Added 2022-03-26 01:38:11 +0000 UTCSo, I'm planning on getting back into more reading just so there's a balance in my life and my brain doesn't melt from too much screen time (who are we kidding, it's far too late... ). If I did some in-depth book reviews/ analysis, is that something y'all would be interested in me sharing? This would not replace any reactions, but would be bonus content for the Super Friend/ Family tiers. I would likely start with things like Lord of the Rings and the Hunger Games... any thoughts?

I have to say, I love the movies and I found the books rather meh, esp. the second felt like a drag (yeah, Frodo, I felt your pain scrambling over all those rocks and thinking you'll never make it). Sorry, LoTR nerds. Maybe I was resentful partly because I felt "bullied" into reading the books because my boyfriend at the time absolutely refused to tell me how the trilogy ended (after the first movie ) and told me to read the books. And I couldn't wait another two years to find out, so I HAD to read the books (I skipped to the "end" and thought it was Sam. Played myself there. I did read the complete books though). I also did not read them in the English original, so I can't say how well or badly the translator did. I was surprised actually because I loved to read fantasy as a young adult (I mean, I was a total bookworm and read "all the books", but a lot of fantasy and horror for sure)--> Stephen King, hint hint nudge nudge π₯Ί ?!
