So your Mom's psychic, she has entanglement of blood-relatives dreams when those relatives pass in their sleep. You lept up at the passing of your entangled sister. The Macedo Twins are entangled with their triplet: Melinda. You're likely still entangled with the spirit of your sister. Your sister appears to mom and apologizes, but you: she hasn't apolized to in a dream. Not yet ? Have you asked her spirit for forgiveness & made your attonements in life for the guilt and shame you carried before about being mean to her ? Have you forgiven yourself for being mean ? Probably so. Your sister's not going to forgive you, and accept that what you did was unforgivable, so you haven't asked yet ? Have you tried summoning your sister, since you two are entangled, with the help of a spirit medium ? A real-one that can channel so you can apologize to her and clear-up those recurring night-terrors and nightmares after your sister forgives you ? I'm making a lot of assumptions from just one chapter. I should probably stop right there and not make this a book review or a spoiler series. I think that would violate fair-usage. Instead she appears to you in a hellish sort of way, that involves insects, one of the things you hate the most. That's behavior i would expect of a dark-spirit, not a demon, but a spirit with a grudge against the living. Like the one I had after me. She beared no grudge against your mother, apologizes for being a burdon in the note and to your Mom as a friendly ghost of daughter's past, then is hostile towards you by making you experience insects ? In the dream where you see Kristina throw herself over the cliff, are you lucid enough since it's reoccurring, to run and leap after her, like you did in the claymation video ? You've probably already tried that, and then you get tangled up and defeated consecutively trying to save your sister: hence, Riley Rewind's plot device you wrote.
