The magic system as of this episode reminds me a but of D&D. There are offensive spells of course, but the smaller cantrip like spells can also have uses in different content than the norm.

The ed sound reminiscent and also very hopeful kinda like reflect a sadpast but also a cheerful future it fit very well for the show theme. I heard about this show from the manga for age now but been sleepin on it. The adaption is sold me on reading it now

You can see that Frieren picked up that and adventure isn't just taking out the big boss, the main point of an adventure is to help people, regardless of the size of their problems, and she accepts all magic spells, because you never know when some small thing you've learned might be able to help someone that you meet that has a problem. It's a great lesson for those of us in the real world as well.

I feel like this ED sounds familiar not because we’ve heard it before, but because it’s just a nostalgic sounding song. Aoi Honoo from Black Clover is another song that comes to mind that evokes this feeling for me. They are songs that make you feel like you’ve been watching the show for years even though you’re only on the first episode.
