Quick Etsy PSA

Hey sorry for the mid-week ping but I've been having a little bit of a nightmare of a time over at Etsy so I wanted to get a message out to hopefully slow down some of the repeated daily questions I keep getting asked over there [ Etsy allows us to have a shop announcement but they put it at the bottom of the page 🙃 ] I already have a message up on my website but it seems not too many people check that, so I am desperately posting to the only other place I can post 😂

If you're not interested in my Etsy shop, just ignore this haha

1. "Why don't you ship to the US? When will you ship to the US again?"

   I am not shipping to the US because the US has tariffs on Canada, and when customers pay those tariffs the money goes to the US government, which is now hostile and threatening to invade Canada, so obviously I am not going to raise money for that.

2. "Why don't you ship to Mexico?"

   I've tried opening my shipping to Mexico multiple times including recently, but it's too unreliable. My customers never get their packages, so I just lose my merch and labour and get bad reviews for it. I don't know why this is. I've googled the issue a fair bit but all I see are rumours, though I am certainly not the only small seller that experiences this.

3. "Something went wrong with my proxy shipping service"

   I just send out orders that I get to the addresses I am given. If you used a proxy service to get around my shipping availabilities, I really can't help with that. I do not control any part of the shipping process after I put on the shipping label [ that you provide the address for ] and drop it off into a mailbox.

To my usual Patreon subscribers: I'll be posting normally on Saturday but it will likely be a weak update again. I'm still recovering. I'm doing better though, definitely improving now and just starting to be functional again.
