Saturday Update!

Good morning and happy Saturday folks!

The fight with Steam continues.

While it is frustrating, I actually find it personally clarifying to know now, without a doubt, that they are deliberately sabotaging the game. There are no more other possibilities left.

There have been very few changes to the situation since last update:

• Friday, May 23 - "Roberto" the tester fails the app again, citing an incomplete content survey [ false, but I added more anyway and resubmitted on the same day ] It's been over a week, and all he has to do is check the content survey but he hasn't :)

• Tuesday May 27 - "Zac" the steam employee on my second ticket gives me the usual copy/paste "Your App is currently in the review queue, and our review team will process it as soon as possible" after I ask him to help again

• Neither employee has replied to me since [ I've posted a few times in both tickets, I have been ignored ]

• I cannot make a third ticket with the correct category [ system won't let me make duplicates ] I'll let it marinate a few more days so there is no possible doubt I'm being unfairly ignored, then I will make a third ticket by using the 'other' category.

My confusion is gone, and now I know this is a fight. I will not slip up. I won't swear at them or be rude. If they think I'm going to give up, they will meet the abyss of my patience.

In other news! I've gotten both the restock of Fox Dakis in the mail along with a new merch product that I can't tell you about because it doesn't really make sense without YKMET:Strade being out 😂 This is the first time I've had merch I have to hold back because the thing isn't out. It's not a problem though, there's nothing wrong with being prepared.

The Canada Post situation is grinding away behind the scenes. The current news is that the corporation has put forth a 'Final Offer' [ read as: FinalOffer3_finalFINAL_lastone_v6_FINAL.pdf ] but what's new is that they appear to be asking the government to allow the workers to vote on it directly [ this would be bypassing the union so.... controversial to say the least ].

What it means in practice is that I think something will change soon. If the workers actually vote, it'll be a full strike [ if they vote no ] or and end to the situation/I can open my store [ if they vote yes ].

I also worked with the plushie guys some more!

• They sent me a design document for the rest of the plushie details [ and allowed me to edit whatever I wanted ] This discussion covered things like print approaches, stitching colors, and materials.

• They asked if we could do embroidery for his stubble instead of fabric print, since they said a fabric print might flatten the fuzz of the skin fabric and look bad. I said yes! I only suggested print because I thought the details were too small for embroidery LMAO

• I picked out a skin color fabric for him

The images I sent them last week went into the document, so it seemed to be a good call :D I'm also tickled by their 'Design Goal' haha!

This is the fabric color I picked for his skin. I took a lot of time and asked for a friends opinion and also photoshopped some mockups, so I'm pretty confident about it!

I also did a bunch of sketches last week. At first I was just letting off steam, but then I decided that I want to warm up to get back to work next week.

I've switched gears! I've had enough rest! It's time to get back to work.

Next week I'll be working full time on the new merch for the game. The old plan was to design the merch after the game comes out but 🤷‍♀️ it's time to adapt. I'm thinking one new keychain design, an acrylic standee design, and a daki design for both Strade and Ren. That'll be six double-sided designs. Plenty to do!
