Saturday Update!
Added 2025-01-04 15:51:33 +0000 UTCIt's finally Saturday! 🎉 You know what this means! New episode of historical fiction heliocentrism anime!!! I mean YKMET update. That's what I meant.
Okay so it was another week of small numbers [ I am sorry but I swear I'm trying my best and not slowing down on purpose ] I ended up losing a fair bit of time to driving out to see my grandparents twice [ twice because we almost got there before there was freezing mist and it was too dangerous to drive so we had to turn back ] but honestly I kinda needed the down time to rest anyway.
I also had to spend several hours fixing my old webcomic websites [ thisisnotromance.com and facilitycomic.com ]. I was hoping that would be more like a 30 min job but SQL coding has changed a LOT since I made those websites and trying to both learn the new code and wedge it in turned out to be a lot harder for me than I expected. I'm just not at the top of my game with that...
Things are getting more and more hectic with my moving situation now as well, but that'll be over in a month. Just gotta soldier through like... 40 more chores LMAO
Good news is, the CG folder is Done. All that's left is some backgrounds, a couple blood splatter effects, and some relatively easy fixes to finished pics [ theres a small set of side-sprites I need to change the lighting on, stuff like that ]
Current Image Finalization: 732/746 [ the max number went up by one because I felt one of the tablesaw closeups needed a variation with the blade moving LMAO ]
I spent most of the week working on this 'CG' [ it's really a background tbh ] and some variations/closeups of it:

So next week I'm gonna start work on those backgrounds. I do think one of them is probably gonna take a long time because it'll need a lot of details and my placeholder is especially dogshit because I must have gotten tired LMAO
I really phoned it in there and now I finally have to pay the price for that 😂 This will also need 6 variations total. Riperoni. But it will get done!
My plan is to just work when I can and do moving chores when I have to. I don't think much will need to happen next week aside from an appointment with a locksmith [ the bank who owned the property didn't have a mailbox key and apparently the only solution to that is drilling the lock out and putting a new one in ]
I'll just keep doing my best!

I can imagine a picture very well, but I can't do that with voice 😅 so I have no thoughts of voices in my head for any of my characters

I'd rather play on the safer side now because I simply don't expect companies to play fair or keep content creators informed

I want to wait a long time after I've settled in so that it isn't chaotic and unnecessarily stressful for the cats. I may continue to get work done on the unit too, and I think it would be better if that got done first. The rules of the building are clear that I am only allowed to have one cat, but I just think it would be healthier for a cat if it had a companion, living with just me alone. I'm going to save up money to be able to pay penalty fees if anyone finds out I've broken the rule. I'm also going to try and find two bonded cats who look similar [ like a sibling pair ] so I can just gaslight anyone if they're nosy enough to be looking in my windows 😂

I don't think I've ever laughed harder at a game. It makes me even more excited for this game, and the memelord mode for this one! Also also, did you know that people made teas based off of your characters (Law, Ren, and Strade)? I bought them and they're actually pretty yummy, I thought it was so interesting (especially with Law's whole tea thing)!

2025-01-04 17:28:55 +0000 UTCI would say Strade is the same age as he was in the original BTD [ 34 I'm p sure ], the length of time it takes me to draw stuff changes a lot based on how detailed the pic is- sometimes I can draw a simple sprite in 4 hours, but for super complicated pictures like the ones on the pillowcases I sell, those take 2 weeks of solid work [ so I guess 80 hours ]. As for my fav character, I'm not really sure haha! it keeps changing all the time. Maybe my fav character is the one I'm currently working on LMAO
