v0.5 early access 1 preview

v0.4 reflections:

The public build for v0.4 will be uploaded to itch some time after this months v0.5 early access build. It might contain some extra quality of life features from v0.5 but will mostly be identical to last months early access build.

Originally when I started this Patreon the goal was to release a public build every 3-4 months. At 5 months v0.4 is stretching that goal quite a bit. And after almost half a year I found it difficult to even remember what I had added in the earlier builds, then I got the feeling that maybe v0.4 doesn't have enough new content.

But after a quick look through the different builds, I counted 18 unique cinematics added to v0.4. And it reminded me of a great quote I read recently that goes something along the lines of "We often overestimate what we can achieve in a month. And underestimate what we can achieve in a year."

Overall I'm happy with how v0.4 turned out. But I'll try to stick to the original 3-4 months per build going forward.

v0.5 early access 1:

This months build will be getting a new super secret area on the TV floor that can serve as a setting for more relations between Chloe and allied monsters.
The new cinematics will be the viper threesome that won last months poll and a kobold cowgirl animation for the new area.

I'll be taking a week off from working on the game this month to recharge my batteries a bit, so I don't know how much more new content I'll be able to get done in time for the build.

But I will be trying to get some work done on the nightmare and lava siren cinematics.
There's also a new living sculpture enemy I'm working on but he's still rather fittingly in the sculpting phase.

Main goals for v0.5 (August and beyond):

As always this months build will be uploaded around the 20th, no poll this month since the last poll also covers next months build.

Comments

I like coming up with costumes that fit with the floor themes, so a costume for each version just felt natural. Skirts can be a bit of a headache, but I will be playing around with some cloth physics for the v0.5 outfit. Which isn't lingerie I'm afraid, but a suit of armor.

Thanks for the bug report. I can't seem to recreate the cursor disappearing completely, on my end it just shows up again the moment I move the mouse. But I've added a fix to the next release so the menu auto closes when exiting a cinematic.

Hey Floppy, I noticed an interesting bug: When viewing one of the cinematics from the Tape Box, when clicking through and it get's to the final part, if the ESC key is pressed (which allows the player to change the materials of the monsters and the scene BG), when the loop ends and it jumps back to the Tape Room, the cursor disappears. Hope this helps. i've tried it on several different monsters and scenes.

I looked back at some older posts, has adding a new outfit every version number always been the goal or has that just been how its always ended up? Cus I already love outfits we have but it would be really nice to get some sort of skirt/dress and any sort of lingerie this time around
