v0.3 Early Access 3 preview

The december build will feature some more neutral floors with recruitable characters and shops.
For now the shops will be represented by some vending machines but the plan is to replace them with npcs at some point, like with the pigman trader who will be represented by a recycling bin to let players turn items into currency.
Currency is gained from destroying monsters and will let players course correct a bit if they get really unlucky with item drops. 

The kraken enemy that won the last poll will be added to the water floor with a minor redesign.

There will be two new cinematics, one for the Kraken and one for a recruitable Frank.

There will be full mouse input support and a fly cam mode for cinematics.

Other than that I'll spend some time on general polish and making tweaks to the gameplay. I would also like to add some more offensive wands to the game, and at the same time make them more impactful.

As always the build should be available around the 20th.

And I'll post a poll for the january build sometime before then.

I can help. What you need is a summoning tome +1 (which spawns 2 creatures) OR find a grave while carrying a summoning tome. It took me a few attempts, with save scumming, but you will summon a skull, then activate the grave. Should then be able to enjoy the DP scene. Floppy, one feature you may consider is in the options for the scene picker, I’ve triggered DP scenes with one summoned creature and one standard creature. The playback doesn’t allow for that option. If you could, that would be amazing!

Hello. Not sure if this is the best spot for it but there doesn't seem to be a dedicated "talk about the game" post anywhere: For anyone who was able to get the "Skull/Skull/MC" scene, how'd you do it? I have the Summoning Tome and I'm at a Shallow Grave, but the Tome only seems to only clone enemies I've already defeated (FRANK! Werewolf, Vampire), and not another Skull nor previous enemies from other floors. Does this mean I would need a run where I encounter two Shallow Graves on one floor? To Floppystock: If this is a spoiler or you want it discussed off Patreon, please feel free to delete or ask me to delete it.

I worry depending how it performs mechanically that the explosion may prove to be too powerful, so to offset that; have a *chance* the wand either explodes or fizzles away after its last use? Give it a more risk vs. reward play... Then again, with RNG, you may not consistently find an offensive wand so having them explode consistently may not be that bad.

I'm glad to see that the process of consistently updating and improving the game in a constructive direction is going so smoothly. I'm also looking forward to this update. If I may share a small wish, it would be great if the January update poll includes options related to body modifications and transformations, such as breast expansion, or options where certain monsters like the Kraken can cause the player to give birth to monsters that can then join as allies. I'll continue to cheer for your future updates.

Not at the moment sorry. I'm waiting for the new layered animation system for blender before I add any more complexity to the animation system.

Again sorry about that. I only tested the debug build and forgot about something. I reuploaded the file with it fixed, you just need to download the hotfix 3 file again. The old translation file should work fine so there shouldn't be any need to start from scratch. I'll try to make the translation system a bit more robust. At the moment it just fails if it encounters a single error.

I downloaded hotfix 3, restarted the translation and verified some things, but the text was not changed except for the age verification text

Sorry about that. I uploaded a new hotfix to the Early Access 2 post. The translation system should be working correctly now.

I am Japanese and I modified the Translation Template.txt file and placed it in the game directory, but the text in the game does not change from English to Japanese.

Mimic chests grow and shrink to indicate breathing, so it is possible to identify them before opening. But I might have made the effect too subtle, I always end up having to fight them myself.

I like the idea of having wands as the item type for expendable spells. If a spell could be recharged it would probably be with a staff item type like in the game Brogue.

Controller might be doable just by remixing the mouse and keyboard stuff. If I have time I'll see if I can add it to this build.

Great release so far, I haven't had the time to play it a lot, but there's a lot of variety now and the fun is a plenty. That Mimic enemy as per the Tradition of mimics being tough gives edge, it is a deadly enemy (45 lewd is no joke in early floors). Looking foward for the currency and vending in the next release cycle, that Frank recruit Teaser makes the imagination explode btw. Thank you so much for your work.

This is all great info! Thank you for clarifying, and reviving would be a cool idea. Maybe another kind of statue or a special altar you could find in a level. However that being said you are doing AMAZING work on such a great game! You’re making good progress and maintaining an amazing pace and as a supporter and fan I’d hate for you to get burned out tryin to fulfill everyone’s requests within the game! I can’t wait to see what comes of it. I can’t help but imagine what kind of rogue-lite features could come in the future!

You can drop potions on an npc and they will drink it if it's a beneficial one. They used to accept weapons and shields as well if they could wield them, but I must have broken that at some point. I'll try to get it working again and also add some kind of inspection screen when interacting with friendlies. And you do retain the max cum from looping. It just resets the value so the bar disappears. I didn't add the other stats because it's really easy to become practically invincible with just a few extra strength stats and health boosts. I'll also add some way of resurrecting a fallen ally if the player wants to keep them around. Maybe by sacrificing some health or along those lines.

Bouncing off your offensive wand idea: why not have elemental wands? Like the buffs you can put on your weapons? Have a Lightning wand that can strike lightning and charge water tiles, a ice wand that can lob a orb of ice at enemies that can freeze water tiles, enemies and maybe even chill lava tiles to traverse on or even a fire wand that shoots a exploding fireball? Another idea would be that wands could explode after using its last charge either when using its last charge or throwing it when it has one charge left. I am here for the kewl dungeon crawling mechanics as much as I am for the lewd shinnanigans!

Very cool! Would love more recruitable types! Can’t wait. I also love the implication of being go able to change their equipment if they have the strength. I had the idea that we could affect their stats as well! For Example… - instead of using a strength potion (or other potion) on ourselves, we give it to the kobold. Or - I’ve noticed that the kobold (at least in my runs) doesn’t normally last past the water level, if I’m lucky to the graveyard like level. It would be cool to be able to “interact” with him and that would heal him or refill his health bar. Also I love that we can go through the exit door and restart the floors to continue playing. But I think it would be cool (at least for the time being) to be able to retain our health, calories, and cum stat buffs from the tentacle dimension. Otherwise it doesn’t feel much different than just restarting from the main menu.
