[Reborn as Son Goten] Chapter 216 - 220
Added 2025-01-14 01:00:04 +0000 UTCChapter 216: Goten vs. All King Guard
"What is luck?"
Trunks asked curiously, tilting his head.
"For you, luck is something very mysterious and illusory," Whis replied with a serene smile.
"I see!" Trunks exclaimed, his face lighting up with realization.
Whis nodded. "Indeed."
"By the way, Goten," Whis continued, turning to the younger Saiyan, "who is the Cell that King Kai just mentioned?"
"Cell?" Goten scratched his head, a grin spreading across his face. "He's a guy my dad once defeated!"
"I see!" Whis said, a spark of interest flashing in his eyes.
"Goten," Whis said, his tone suddenly more serious, "my father, the Grand Priest, wishes to meet you. Are you free to come with me to see The Grand Zeno?"
"The Grand Priest?" Goten asked, his expression intrigued.
Whis nodded.
"Of course, I'm free!" Goten replied confidently.
"Very well. We'll first stop by King Kai's place, then head to The Grand Zeno's palace," Whis said.
"Good!" Goten said, excitement bubbling in his voice.
Without further delay, Goten departed Earth with Whis, their journey taking them across realms.
At The Grand Zeno's palace, the Grand Priest stood before The Grand Zeno, respectfully addressing him.
"Goten?" The Grand Zeno asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
"Yes, Goten. He is Goku's youngest son," the Grand Priest explained with a smile.
"Really? Can he come over and play with me?" The Grand Zeno's childlike excitement was unmistakable.
"Grand Zeno," the Grand Priest said gently, "Goten isn't coming here to play this time."
"He's not?" The Grand Zeno's expression fell slightly.
"But," the Grand Priest continued, "perhaps The Grand Zeno will witness an unprecedented battle!"
"An unprecedented battle?" The Grand Zeno's interest piqued once again, his face lighting up.
The Grand Priest nodded, raising his staff. A soft glow emanated from it. "Grand Zeno, Goten has arrived."
"Yeah!" The Grand Zeno clapped his hands in anticipation.
Moments later, Whis, Supreme Kai Shin, and Goten entered the grand hall, bowing respectfully before The Grand Zeno.
"Grand Zeno!" they greeted in unison.
While Supreme Kai Shin knelt, Whis and Goten merely bowed.
The Grand Zeno turned his gaze to Goten. "Are you Goten?"
"Yes, Grand Zeno," Goten said, smiling brightly.
The Grand Zeno squinted slightly, trying to recognize him. "You look different. You've grown taller!"
"Indeed, Grand Zeno," the Grand Priest interjected. "When you last saw him, Goten was just a kid. Now, at eighteen, he's grown considerably."
"I see," The Grand Zeno mused. "I want to grow taller too!"
The Grand Priest turned to Goten, his demeanor becoming more formal. "Goten, Whis should have informed you about the situation regarding the universe."
"He did, Grand Priest," Goten confirmed.
"This war is of immense importance to the universe. Even mortal battles like yours play a critical role. I have summoned you here to witness your strength firsthand," the Grand Priest explained.
"My strength?" Goten tilted his head, curious.
"Yes," the Grand Priest said. "You will face Astrion, one of The Grand Zeno's guards. Should you defeat him, I will share the details of the arrangements."
"Astrion?" Goten repeated, his gaze shifting to the imposing figure standing nearby.
"Yes," the Grand Priest said. "He is one of The Grand Zeno's elite guards."
"Understood," Goten said, nodding.
"Will they fight here?" Supreme Kai Shin asked, glancing nervously around the ornate hall.
"Of course not," the Grand Priest replied. With a wave of his staff, the floor beneath them began to glow.
The ground where Goten and the others stood slowly descended, revealing a massive, spinning, top-shaped platform hovering above a colossal arena. Surrounding the arena were towering stone pillars.
The Grand Priest turned to Astrion. "Astrion, please step onto the stage."
Astrion nodded silently and leaped gracefully onto the platform.
"Come on, Astrion!" The Grand Zeno cheered.
Goten smirked and flew onto the stage as well, his Saiyan blood boiling with excitement.
"There are no boundaries for this battle," the Grand Priest announced. "Victory is determined when one opponent can no longer continue."
"No boundaries?" Goten repeated, his brows furrowing slightly.
"Correct," the Grand Priest said. "This stage may not withstand your full power, but it will serve as a suitable starting point."
"Understood, Grand Priest," Goten said, clenching his fists.
A powerful surge of Ki erupted from Goten, radiating outward in waves. "Ahhh!" he roared as his body began to transform.
Silver hair sprouted across his body, cascading down to his waist. His eyes glowed red with intensity. Goten had ascended to Super Saiyan Five.
"What?!" Astrion exclaimed, clearly taken aback.
But Goten wasn't finished. His Ki continued to rise, shaking the entire arena. His hair shortened, and the silver hue shifted to a radiant gold. His eyes turned golden as well. Goten had now achieved Super Saiyan Six.
"Wow! Goten's entire body is golden!" The Grand Zeno exclaimed in awe.
The Grand Priest nodded approvingly.
Astrion, who had initially seemed unfazed, now took a more serious stance.
Without warning, Goten charged forward, his body a blur of golden light. He aimed a powerful punch at Astrion, who narrowly dodged by shifting his body.
Undeterred, Goten unleashed a flurry of punches, each one faster than the last. To the spectators, it seemed as if hundreds of fists were striking at once.
"So many fists!" The Grand Zeno marveled.
The Grand Priest watched silently, his expression unreadable.
Bang!
Astrion caught one of Goten's punches with his left hand, halting the barrage.
Goten's eyes widened in shock, but before he could react, Astrion delivered a crushing blow to his abdomen. The force sent Goten flying backward.
"Goten!" Supreme Kai Shin called out in alarm.
Goten regained his footing by stomping hard against the ground, bringing himself to a halt.
Another guard standing beside The Grand Zeno watched in disbelief. "Astrion’s strength is incredible, yet this mortal can withstand his attacks!"
Goten wiped the corner of his mouth and grinned. Without hesitation, he launched himself at Astrion once more.
In the blink of an eye, Goten was back in front of Astrion, his fists and feet moving with blinding speed. Yet, Astrion dodged each strike with precision.
Bang!
Astrion countered with a powerful kick to Goten's abdomen, sending him hurtling into one of the stone pillars with a deafening crash.
Goten let out a pained cry as debris rained down around him.
Chapter 217: Super Saiyan 7
A massive cloud of sand and dust erupted from the crumbling stone pillar. Supreme Kai Shin's eyes remained fixed on the chaos, but suddenly, Goten's figure reappeared on the competition stage, standing firm and unshaken.
Astrion snorted coldly, his expression sharpening. In a flash, he rushed toward Goten with a speed surpassing the speed of light.
In mere moments, Astrion closed the gap between them, unleashing a flurry of punches faster than the eye could follow. Goten’s instincts kicked in, and he activated his Flash Time Power to evade the devastating assault.
The Grand Priest's eyes narrowed as he observed the scene. “This is...” he murmured, a spark of recognition in his tone.
“This seems to be Hit’s Flash Time Skill,” he continued, his voice tinged with surprise. “But when did Goten learn it?”
As the fierce battle raged on, their movements became too rapid for The Grand Zeno to follow.
"Goten and Astrion are moving so fast, I can’t see anything!" The Grand Zeno exclaimed, visibly frustrated.
.
On the competition stage, Goten continued to dodge Astrion’s relentless attacks. Yet, despite his agility, Astrion managed to land a powerful blow, sending Goten hurtling backward.
Recovering swiftly, Goten skidded to a stop on the ground, a determined smirk playing on his lips.
“Interesting!” Goten said with a chuckle as he clenched his fists tightly.
“Ahhh!!!”
A massive surge of Ki erupted from Goten, engulfing the entire area in an awe-inspiring display of energy. The entire palace of The Omni-King trembled violently under the sheer intensity of his power.
“What… what is this?!” Supreme Kai Shin exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.
Super Saiyan 6 had already seemed incomprehensibly powerful to him, and yet, Goten’s Ki continued to climb to unimaginable heights.
The Grand Priest and Whis both turned serious, their expressions tense as they sensed the monumental shift in Goten’s energy.
“Could it be…?” Whis murmured, a sudden realization dawning on him.
With another earth-shaking roar, Goten underwent a stunning transformation. The hair covering his body fell away, and the hair on his head turned pure white, cascading down to his waist. The upper half remained white, while the lower half shifted to a vibrant pink hue. His pupils turned pink, and two symmetrical patterns resembling bookends appeared on his forehead. Red slanted lines formed on either side of his face, radiating power. His entire body glowed with golden Ki, interspersed with arcs of golden lightning.
This was Super Saiyan Seven.
“What… what is this?” Supreme Kai Shin stammered, his eyes wide with shock.
“This is Super Saiyan Seven!” Goten declared confidently, his voice resonating with newfound strength.
“Super Saiyan Seven…” Whis repeated, stunned. Memories of their past battles flooded his mind. Back then, Goten had achieved Super Saiyan 6, yet now he had surpassed even that. Had Goten been holding back during their fight, or had he grown even stronger since then?
Before Whis could delve further into his thoughts, Goten’s body blurred into motion, transforming into a streak of golden light as he charged toward Astrion.
Astrion, momentarily taken aback, quickly raised his fists in defense.
“Ha!” Goten roared, meeting Astrion’s fists head-on with blows delivered at lightning speed.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!!!"
The arena trembled under the earth-shattering impact of their clash. Each collision sent shockwaves rippling through the air, forcing The Grand Priest to conjure a translucent shield around The Grand Zeno to protect him from the fallout.
The force of their battle tore the fabric of space itself, creating cracks in the surrounding dimensions. Whis immediately intervened, using his staff to repair the dimensional rifts.
“Astrion!” one of The Grand Zeno's guards called out in alarm. Watching the fight unfold, his composure began to falter. Goten, a mortal, was holding his own against Astrion—an unprecedented feat.
As the battle continued, the competition stage crumbled beneath their feet. Dust and debris flew everywhere, obscuring the view of the intense combat.
“It seems Goten is far stronger than I anticipated,” the Grand Priest remarked, stroking his chin thoughtfully.
At that moment, Astrion’s body crashed heavily into a stone pillar, shattering it into rubble. The collision sent a plume of dust into the air.
“Huff…” Astrion panted heavily as he staggered back onto the ruined stage.
Supreme Kai Shin watched in astonishment. “Wow… Goten actually knocked him back!”
Whis, however, remained silent. He had seen the fight clearly, and it was apparent that Goten had been in control since transforming into Super Saiyan Seven. Moreover, Goten hadn’t even activated Ultra Instinct. If he had, Astrion likely wouldn’t have stood a chance.
Unaware of Whis’s thoughts, Goten stood tall, his mind focused entirely on his newfound power. This was his first time transforming into Super Saiyan Seven in battle, and he was eager to test its limits. Astrion, formidable as he was, had become the perfect opponent for this test.
“Ha!”
With a powerful shout, Goten prepared to launch another attack. But before he could strike, the Grand Priest's voice rang out.
“Alright, Goten, that’s enough! Let’s end this battle.”
Hearing the command, Goten froze mid-motion, retracting his fist.
Astrion, still reeling from the fight, turned to the Grand Priest, his expression filled with confusion and frustration.
“Master Grand Priest, why are you stopping this fight?” Astrion asked.
The Grand Priest regarded him calmly. “Astrion, Goten’s strength has already surpassed yours. Continuing this battle would serve no purpose.”
“No… that’s impossible!” Astrion protested, his pride wounded. “I haven’t even used my full strength yet! I can still win!”
The Grand Priest shook his head. “Astrion, there is no shame in acknowledging strength greater than your own. Goten’s power is extraordinary, far beyond what you have faced before.”
Turning to The Grand Zeno, the Grand Priest asked softly, “Grand Zeno, would you like the battle to continue?”
The Grand Zeno considered for a moment before speaking. “Astrion, please stop for now.”
Though reluctant, Astrion bowed his head. “Yes, Master Omni-King.”
With the fight officially over, Goten let out a breath, his body reverting to its normal form.
The Grand Priest approached Goten with a smile. “Goten, your power is remarkable. Have you ever considered becoming a god?”
“A god?” Goten asked, tilting his head.
“Yes,” the Grand Priest replied. “As a god, you would gain a lifespan thousands of times longer than that of mortals.”
“What kind of god are you talking about?” Goten asked curiously.
“A Saiyan God,” the Grand Priest said.
“A Saiyan God?”
“Indeed. Not a transformation like those of your kind, but a priesthood—a divine role that grants you authority over eight universes.”
“Eight universes?” Goten repeated, his eyes widening.
“Yes,” the Grand Priest confirmed. “As a Saiyan God, you would oversee all beings within these universes, including the Gods of Destruction and the Angels under their command.”
Chapter 218: Appointment
Supreme Kai Shin stood frozen, utterly shocked by what he had just heard. If Goten agreed to this proposal, it would mean he would have another boss in the future—someone of immense power and authority.
"Which eight universes are those?" Goten asked, his voice calm but tinged with curiosity.
"They are the eight universes that participated in the Tournament of Power, including your own Universe 7," the Grand Priest replied with a serene expression.
“I see,” Goten thought, his mind racing as he pieced together the implications. The reason the Grand Priest was offering him this position seemed clear. By becoming a god, Goten would inevitably be drawn into the War of the Gods set to erupt in three years.
As a mortal, Goten could choose whether or not to participate in this divine conflict. However, should he ascend to godhood, he would no longer have the luxury of choice. The Great Goddess herself would ensure his involvement, regardless of his desires.
"Um... Grand Priest, this is a matter of great importance," Goten said after a moment of contemplation. "I’d like to return to Earth and discuss this with my father and the others first."
The Grand Priest paused, then nodded. "Very well, but I will need your reply as soon as possible."
Goten nodded in return. "Thank you. If there’s nothing else, Grand Zeno, Grand Priest, I’ll take my leave."
"Alright," The Grand Zeno said with a smile. "Goten, do visit more often when you have time!"
"Of course, Master Omni-King," Goten replied with a bow before flying back to Whis and Supreme Kai Shin.
Together, they teleported back to Universe 7.
Once they returned to Earth, Goten immediately shared the Grand Priest’s proposal with Trunks.
"A Saiyan God?" Trunks repeated, wide-eyed.
"Yeah," Goten confirmed. "Do you think I should accept?"
"I’m not sure," Trunks admitted, scratching his head. "Why don’t you ask everyone else for their opinion?"
"Good idea," Goten said with a nod.
Later that day, Goten called a meeting at Bulma’s house, gathering Goku, Krillin, and the others. Once everyone was present, he explained the situation regarding the Great Goddess and the position of Saiyan God.
"The Great Goddess?" Krillin asked, visibly startled.
"Whis said her power rivals that of the Grand Priest," Goten explained.
"That’s absurdly strong," Goku said, his tone a mix of awe and apprehension. Whis had once told him that even his full strength was insignificant compared to a single finger of the Grand Priest.
"Yeah," Goten agreed.
Chi-Chi, ever focused on her son’s future, spoke up. "Goten, you can become this Saiyan God if you want, but only after you finish your studies!"
Her words drew a nervous laugh from Goten, who scratched the back of his head awkwardly. His mother’s obsession with academics was legendary.
Marron, sitting nearby, looked at Goten with concern. "Brother Goten, if you become a god, will you still stay on Earth?"
Goten thought for a moment before replying. "I think so. But in three years, when the war begins, all mortals will be involved. I might have to leave Earth temporarily to train elsewhere."
Hearing this, Chi-Chi became visibly agitated. "No, Goten! You’ve got two years until the college entrance exams. You can’t spend all your time training!"
"Mom!" Gohan interjected, attempting to calm her. "I support Goten this time. While studying is important, Goten is, at heart, a martial artist like Dad. He thrives on training."
"But…" Chi-Chi began, her voice filled with worry.
"It’s okay, Mom," Goten said gently. "If I need help, I’ll ask Aunt Bulma to assist with school. And if that doesn’t work, we can always use the Dragon Balls."
After a brief pause, Chi-Chi reluctantly nodded. "Alright, but you better not neglect your studies entirely!"
Turning to Goku, Goten asked, "Dad, what do you think? Should I accept this role as the Saiyan God?"
Goku smiled warmly. "That’s a decision only you can make, Goten. Follow your heart, and you’ll make the right choice."
"Thanks, Dad," Goten said, feeling reassured.
The next few days passed quickly. Goten, Trunks, and Marron all took temporary leave from school to dedicate themselves to training. Despite her own limitations, Marron was determined to contribute to the protection of Earth, no matter how small her role might be.
As they left the school together, Marron turned to Goten. "Brother Goten, about what I mentioned earlier…"
"I… promise," Goten said, offering her a soft smile.
"Really?" Marron’s face lit up with joy.
"In that case, let’s just treat it as a joke," Goten teased, laughing.
"Brother Goten, you’re so bad!" Marron pouted.
"What’s bad about me?" Goten replied with a mischievous grin.
"I don’t care. You’re just bad!" Marron huffed.
The lighthearted banter continued as they walked, but Marron’s expression soon turned serious. "Brother Goten, have you decided whether or not you’ll become a god?"
"Yeah," Goten said with a nod.
"And? What’s your decision?" Marron asked, her voice tinged with nervousness.
"I’ve decided to accept," Goten said firmly. "This war is inevitable, so why not embrace the opportunity to become stronger and make a difference?"
Marron hesitated before asking, "If you become a god, will you forget about me after a hundred years?"
"A hundred years?" Goten repeated, raising an eyebrow. "Do you only plan to live that long?"
"Well, mortals only live about a hundred years, and that’s considered a long life," Marron explained.
Goten chuckled. "What about Master Roshi? He’s lived for centuries."
Marron’s eyes widened. "Oh no, I don’t want to end up like him—old, wrinkly, and still hanging around!"
"Don’t worry," Goten said reassuringly. "We have the Dragon Balls. We can just ask Shenron to keep you young forever."
"But wouldn’t living too long get boring?" Marron asked, her voice softening.
"Not necessarily," Goten replied. "Look at Master Roshi—he’s always finding ways to enjoy life."
Marron stared at him skeptically. "You’re not going to turn into Grandpa Roshi, are you?"
"Of course not," Goten said, laughing. "I’m not single, after all."
"So if you were single, you’d end up like him?" Marron pressed, narrowing her eyes.
"I have no idea," Goten admitted, shaking his head.
"Why are we even talking about this?" Marron said, blushing as she realized how far the conversation had strayed.
Two days later, Goten gave Whis his final decision. Whis promptly relayed the message to the Grand Priest, who wasted no time summoning Goten to The Grand Zeno’s palace.
When Goten arrived, The Grand Zeno greeted him with a cheerful smile. "Goten! Welcome back!"
The Grand Priest stepped forward, his demeanor calm yet authoritative. "Goten, I’ve called you here today for two reasons. First, to finalize your appointment as the Saiyan God. Second, to guide you in training so you can reach even greater heights."
"Appointment?" Goten asked.
"Yes," the Grand Priest confirmed. "To help you manage the eight universes, you may choose one angel from these universes to accompany you."
Chapter 219: Little Shin
"Angel?"
"Yes," the Grand Priest replied with a calm demeanor. "You may also choose Whis. If you do, I will assign an intern angel to replace him."
Hearing this, Goten pondered for a moment before speaking. "In that case, I’ll choose Whis."
"Very well," the Grand Priest agreed. "Whis, you will follow Goten from now on."
"Understood, Father," Whis replied, nodding respectfully.
"Master Grand Priest," Goten said, "you mentioned earlier that you would guide me in my training?"
"Indeed," the Grand Priest affirmed. "Although your strength is remarkable, your mastery of Ultra Instinct likely does not yet surpass Whis's. I intend to guide you further in refining this ability.
"Ultra Instinct is the foundation of an angel's normal state, but even this state can evolve further. There are three realms of mastery: the Realm of Perception, the Realm of Control, and finally, the Realm of Transcendence."
"Realm of Transcendence?" Goten repeated, his interest piqued.
"The level of Ultra Instinct currently mastered by Whis and the others is the second realm, the Realm of Control," the Grand Priest explained.
"And you’ve reached the third realm?" Goten asked.
"That’s correct," the Grand Priest replied with a nod.
"There’s no rush," he continued. "I will guide your training in due time. For now, your priority should be to prepare the eight universes for the war that will erupt in three years."
"Understood," Goten said. "Then, Grand Zeno and Master Grand Priest, if there’s nothing else, I will take my leave."
Zeno and the Grand Priest nodded. With their approval, Goten departed the palace with Whis and the others.
Back in Universe 7, Shin Kai shared the news of Goten’s ascension to godhood with Old Kai. Upon hearing this, Old Kai turned to Goten, scrutinizing him with a mix of disbelief and annoyance.
Seeing Old Kai’s reaction, Goten smirked and cleared his throat. "Old Kai, shouldn’t you be addressing me more respectfully now?"
"What do you mean by that?!" Old Kai retorted, visibly irked.
Goten chuckled. "As a Kaioshin, it would be rather rude not to address me properly, wouldn’t it?"
Old Kai’s face flushed with frustration, but he begrudgingly complied. "Lord Goten," he muttered through clenched teeth, clearly irritated by the turn of events.
Living for millions of years, Old Kai never imagined he’d one day have to address a mortal youth as "Lord."
Supreme Kai Shin, standing nearby, was equally stunned. "Old ancestor…" he began, his voice trailing off.
Turning his gaze to Supreme Kai Shin, Goten smirked. "Little Shin!"
The Supreme Kai winced at the nickname. His name, Shin, was now reduced to "Little Shin," a clear jab from Goten.
Although Supreme Kai Shin complied and addressed Goten as "Lord Goten," his dissatisfaction was evident.
Satisfied, Goten turned to Whis. "Shall we head back to Earth?"
"Of course, Lord Goten," Whis replied. With a wave of his staff, a radiant light enveloped them, transporting them back to Earth.
As soon as they departed, Old Kai muttered under his breath, "The villain succeeds again!"
"My lord, isn’t that a bit harsh?" Supreme Kai Shin asked, uneasy about Old Kai’s words.
"What’s harsh about it?" Old Kai huffed. "Goten becomes a god and immediately starts throwing his weight around!"
Supreme Kai Shin sighed, choosing not to argue further. Deep down, he understood that Goten’s ascension was no mere fluke. If The Grand Zeno and the Grand Priest entrusted Goten with such a monumental role, it was because his abilities truly warranted it.
Back on Earth, Whis informed Goten that he would temporarily leave to train his replacement, the intern angel.
Meanwhile, in the northern Milky Way, on a massive planet, a blue-green-skinned man with a mushroom-shaped hairstyle knelt before Whis. This man was none other than Merus, a Galactic Patrolman whose true identity was a trainee angel—and Whis's younger brother.
"Merus," Whis began, "Father must have informed you of your permanent appointment."
"Yes, Brother," Merus replied. "But why has this come about so suddenly? My internship isn’t even over yet!"
Whis’s expression turned serious. "The Great Mother Goddess has been released from her seal."
"The Great Mother Goddess?" Merus repeated, his face pale with shock.
"That’s correct," Whis confirmed.
"But what does this have to do with my becoming a full-fledged angel?"
"Father assigned Goten to oversee the eight universes, and Goten selected me to accompany him," Whis explained.
"Goten? You mean the one who defeated Moro?"
"Precisely," Whis replied.
"But he’s just a mortal! Why would Father entrust him with managing eight universes?" Merus asked, bewildered.
"Merus, don’t underestimate Goten just because he’s mortal," Whis warned. "His strength now surpasses even ours. Perhaps even our sister would struggle against him."
Merus’s eyes widened in disbelief. "Goten… is that powerful?"
"Brother," Merus pressed, "who is Goten, really? Why do you and Father hold him in such high regard?"
Whis smiled faintly. "He may be mortal, but he’s far from ordinary."
"Not ordinary?"
"Have you ever heard of a mortal whose power surpasses that of angels?" Whis asked.
Merus shook his head.
"Merus, your time with the Galactic Patrol has been valuable, but now you must leave and serve as Lord Beerus's new attendant."
"I understand, Brother," Merus said reluctantly.
Whis placed a hand on Merus’s shoulder. "I know leaving your mortal comrades is difficult, but life is a cycle. What you’re experiencing now, I have endured before."
Merus nodded silently, absorbing his brother’s words.
Meanwhile, in an alternate timeline within the Dragon Ball AF universe, a Saiyan with white hair streaked with black sat aboard a massive spaceship alongside a pink-skinned woman. She had long white hair, pointed ears, and wore a red Kaioshin uniform over a pink dress.
The woman, named Lila, was the former West Kaioshin. Though presumed dead in her battle with Kid Buu, her body had drifted through space until she was rescued by King Cold, Frieza’s father.
Her encounter with Kid Buu had left her deeply scarred, both physically and mentally. Consumed by a thirst for revenge, she obtained a drop of Goku’s blood and used it to create the evil Saiyan known as Xicor—the very man standing beside her now.
Chapter 220: Xiao Pa
"Mother, did Father really live on this planet before?" Xicor asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
"Of course," Lila replied with a faint smile. "Would Mother ever lie to you?"
As the two chatted, a soldier suddenly ran in, his face pale with urgency. "La...Lady Lila, something terrible has—"
Before he could finish, a long-haired woman with blue-green skin and clad in fiery red tights strode confidently into the room. Beside her was a tall, muscular man with matching blue-green skin, also dressed in fiery red.
The two figures were Towa and Mira, notorious agents of chaos from a corrupted timeline.
"Who are you?" Lila demanded, her wary eyes narrowing as she positioned herself protectively in front of Xicor.
Towa smiled, her expression disarming but cold. "My name is Towa, and I’m here to help you."
"Help us?" Lila echoed skeptically.
"Yes," Towa replied, her tone unwavering. "You plan to go to Earth to confront Gohan and the others, don’t you?"
Lila’s suspicion deepened. "How do you know that?"
"Because," Towa said smoothly, "I come from the future."
"The future?"
"Precisely," Towa affirmed. "And in that future, your plan fails. I suggest you reconsider."
"Fail?" Lila scoffed, her expression twisting with disbelief. "You must be joking. My Xicor is the strongest in the universe!"
Towa shrugged nonchalantly. "Believe what you will. I’m merely offering advice. Don’t say I didn’t warn you." She turned to leave, Mira following closely behind.
"Wait!" Lila called out suddenly.
Towa paused and turned her head slightly. "What is it?"
"What’s your purpose in telling me this?" Lila demanded.
Towa’s lips curved into a sly smile. "I propose an alliance. Together, we can fight against Goku and the others."
"An alliance?"
"Yes," Towa replied confidently. "If we succeed, you’ll have a universe of your own to rule."
Time passed quickly, and three days went by in the blink of an eye. During this time, Towa and Mira traveled to the Dragon Ball timeline's new era, where they sought out Vegeta’s brother, Tarble, and convinced him to join the Great Goddess’s camp.
Meanwhile, on Earth, Goku and the others remained unaware of these developments.
In the northern Milky Way, Merus officially resigned from the Galactic Patrol and assumed his new role as Beerus’s attendant. Though Beerus was reluctant to part ways with Whis, he begrudgingly accepted the Grand Priest’s decision. However, without Whis, Merus struggled to keep Beerus in check.
In Universe 6, within the Realm of the Destroyer, Champa had just finished a hearty meal and was leisurely strolling through his garden. Suddenly, a burst of colorful light descended from the sky.
As the light faded, two figures emerged: Goten and Whis.
"Goten! Whis!" Champa exclaimed in surprise.
Goten nodded politely. "Long time no see, Little Pa!"
"Little Pa?!" Champa growled, his face turning red with indignation. "What did you just call me?"
"Little Pa," Goten repeated with a grin.
Champa’s anger flared. "Goten, don’t think I’ll let this slide just because you’re strong! I’ll have you know—"
Before he could finish, Vados descended gracefully from the sky, her calm voice cutting through the tension.
"Lord Goten, you’ve arrived."
Champa froze, his jaw dropping. "Va… Vados, what did you just call him?"
"Lord Goten," Vados said with a smile.
"Lord Goten?! What’s going on?"
Vados explained, "Lord Champa, Goten has been appointed the God of Saiyans. He is now responsible for overseeing the eight universes that participated in the Tournament of Power."
"The Saiyan God?" Champa repeated, stunned.
"Indeed," Vados confirmed with a nod. "When I first heard the news, I was just as surprised as you."
Champa huffed. "Vados, you deliberately kept this from me, didn’t you?"
Vados chuckled. "Not at all. Lord Goten specifically asked me not to tell you yet."
Champa turned to Goten, his face a mix of frustration and betrayal. "Well, Goten, you’ve certainly changed since becoming a god! I thought we were friends!"
Goten laughed. "All I did was call you Little Pa. Why are you so upset?"
"That’s enough!" Champa snapped. "If you call me that again, I’ll really get angry!"
"Hehehe," Goten said with a grin.
"By the way, Goten," Champa asked, "how did you suddenly become the Saiyan God?"
"It’s nothing much," Goten replied nonchalantly. "The Grand Priest asked me to fight one of The Grand Zeno’s guards, and I ‘beat’ him."
Champa’s eyes widened in shock. "You fought The Grand Zeno’s guard? Their strength is comparable to, if not greater than, that of angels!"
"That’s right," Goten said casually.
"Then… you’re as strong as Whis now?"
"Lord Champa," Whis interjected, "I cannot defeat Lord Goten."
Champa’s jaw dropped. "Damn it, Goten! How did you train to become this strong? Even Whis admits defeat!"
"Lord Champa, please mind your manners," Vados reminded gently.
Champa nodded absentmindedly, still reeling from the revelation.
Goten shrugged. "I guess I’m just a genius," he said with a laugh, hiding the truth about his system.
Champa, half-believing, narrowed his eyes but let the matter drop.
"So, what brings you here today?" Champa asked.
"I’m visiting the universes to familiarize myself with them," Goten explained.
"I see," Champa said with a nod.
"By the way, sister Vados, you’ve informed Lord Champa about the impending war, haven’t you?"
"Lord Goten," Vados said, her tone formal, "you no longer need to address me as ‘Sister.’ Simply call me Vados."
Goten nodded. "Alright, Vados. Have you briefed Lord Champa about the war?"
"I have," Vados confirmed. "But as gods, we are prohibited from interfering too much in mortal affairs."
Goten nodded thoughtfully. "That’s true, but the rules don’t forbid us from informing mortals about the war. Don’t you think they should be prepared?"
Champa hesitated. "Wouldn’t that cause widespread panic?"
"Perhaps," Goten admitted. "But if they remain unprepared and lose the war, the consequences will be far worse."
Champa sighed. "Spreading the news could also lead to internal chaos in Universe 6. There are always those who would exploit such situations."
"That’s a valid concern," Goten said. "But if civil unrest is inevitable, it’s better to address it now. Once the war begins, any unresolved conflicts will only worsen."
