SECOND, I completely agree with the therapist desk barrier thing, when I first tried emdr my therapist was a lot like this. He was really well respected in the area and had been practicing forever. He actually dropped ME as a client because by the end of our FIRST session I hadn't felt the emdr working lol, threw me off the path for many years. Glad I got back and found professionals I mesh better with.

So many shows dilute the experience down to "scary thing", but the Sopranos shows how nightmares are often terrifying because nothing is explicitly terrifying, everything is just "off".
